i think at this point they know what they're doing, and they know what the fans are critical of. they themselves are somewhat critical of their own work, so i don't think they'll release anything that would make us facepalm. judging by the fact that troy said he had 5 scenes he wants to shoot right now, something tells me that they've had it planned out for a while, at least long enough for it to be the best possible script that it can be.

although i wouldn't be dissapointed if it felt like a filler entry. people said entry 47 was awful, but i'm in agreeance with troseph: that it is necessary to develop a story and not just have it be slenderman here slenderman there

Not just 5 scenes, 5 whole entries. Be double stoked.

i will be stoked once we have confirmation that the operator is going to move and not just stand there non-menacingly. he didn't even feel like a villain in season 2 >_>

Not gonna lie, in the Entry #37 which was written off, when the Operator was moving in the shot, it was fucking freaky. I don't think its bad that it doesn't move, I just think it adds more to it when he does move

Location: I'm lost, let's ask that bald, tall, faceless guy in a business suit.

It would be awesome but a big break away from the searching-Tim story if S3 starts with The Operator back on Jay's trail. One night, he looks out of the window and he's there, standing, looking (if that's even possible for it) at him. It would be a nice Crowning Moment of Back To Your Roots.

That's what makes him scary, though. The fact that he can make all his attacks without even moving a finger. If he did move, it would take away the "What will he do next?" factor.

It's just that only standing gets old after a while. It's not particularly scary anymore because we know he won't do anything except make a lot of static and visual distortion. So at this rate all Slender Man is good for is turning your video a lot of pretty colors.

What made the alternate entry 37 so creepy as that 1) he's a humanoid figure loping like a spider which is all sorts of wrong, since that's not how anyone with two legs is supposed to move and 2) he was chasing after Jay and God only knows what would have happened after that. It's probably the most decisive action The Operator has taken since Entry 26 (and that was another entry where he saw him moving, albeit slowly.)

The point is not that "standing there" isn't scary. It's just that he doesn't do anything except that, (seriously, when was the last time Slender Man attacked someone without moving? I can't remember it) and after a while he just becomes part of the scenery. We know he's just observing so who cares?

/two cents

Well to be fair, season 2 was not about the Operator being the villain. Alex was the villain. The Operator was just a bystander pulling the strings from afar.

i may have to rewatch this frame by frame. the past two times i've watched it it just looks like slendy shuffling along to the left like sliding his feet along the ground

So he finally thinks of this after 4 months.

Jay: Tim! I've been looking for you for the past four months!
Tim: Yeah, I know.
Jay: You...you do...?
Tim: You've been tweeting about it. Constantly.
Jay: Well, I...
Tim: It's creeping me out.
Jay: ...oh.

Oh Jay, when someone successfully avoids you for four months in a small town, that isn't by accident. *facepalm*

You know, maybe the reason Jay hasn't seen Tim yet is because something's happened to him.
Imagine if Hoody has to come out of hiding and ask Jay to help him find Tim. We could go through Hoody-footage and look for clues, continue our 'where's Timmy/Alex' adventures, and put Jay (and his camera) beside one of the most likely people to get eaten by Slendy all at the same time. Sounds fun, no?

...Or maybe Tim's just spacing out in the tunnel.
