What about Tim's leg?

Healed? The rock smash happened well over a year ago now.

But he was still limping in the last ToTheArk video, which was only four months ago.

And we have no indication that Tim ever went to the doctor for it. It should be permanently screwed up.

And, even if he did go to the doctor, he should still have some sort of limp. I mean, Alex crushed it with a rock.

Well, the footage in the TTA video was probably from way before it was posted. As for why it didn't leave him with a permanent limp, three words: suspension of disbelief.

But Marble Hornets is meant to be real. My only suspension of disbelief is over The Operator and only to the extent that he is a part of the story. So anything big, like someone's leg spontaneously healing, either has to be explained in the story as something normal or something magical, but it has to be explained.

I'm not going to give a suspension of disbelief on why things happen. The point of this story is that its supposed to explain it to us. This isn't like a cartoon superhero show or something.

I think he does have some healing and toughness powers. I mean, he creates static and can teleport sometimes, so why would more powers be weird?

This text.

J found both Tim and Alex in that town? We've only seen J find Tim in that town, right? This setting was introduced at the end of 52, right?

J found Alex there, too. Huh.

Edit: this town is near Rosswood Park. Okay. I just thought we were getting a hint of an encounter with Alex since 52.

Just want to say that the off-season/ season 3 has been handled PERFECTLY so far. I know that doesn't mean much, seeing as we've had all of one entry, but really: off-season tweets to move the story forward and keep the fans interested, as well as hype up the new season, and a new entry that perfectly lays the groundwork for the rest of the season as well as a new dynamic for the series, having Tim as a main character that Jay can communicate awkwardly with.

I'm going to make a prediction now, last scene of last episode of the series The Ⓧperator will be in the background and no one seems to realize it.

That would be a fine answer. It's just that that has to be explained or implied directly in the story. As long as they end up doing that somewhere in the season, i'm fine. But they better not just leave it as an open plot hole.

Well guys, I watched the glorious entry #53 and am ready to discuss.

First off though, this is the most humorous entry since Brian's wall touching movie. Just had to say that.
Anyways... I think they're making it pretty clear that Tim has something wrong with him. While it is possible that the doctor has been helping him cope with memory loss that still begs the question of Masky being in the hotel.
Personally, I'm thinking that maybe when he took Jessica he was mirroring Jay. Perhaps all that static we heard was him tackling the Operator while Jay (and hopefully Jess) got away, and this was the cause of his own memory loss.

Regardless of that, I also have to wonder about Hoody. If Tim's been out of action, why hasn't he gone to him? Is he just happy everyone is away from the Operator and letting things lie? Or did something happen with him too?

It's the same town as all of Season 2. The setting isn't new at all.

Edit: Didn't notice your edit. Razz

What a great first entry to the season. It does a great job of laying out the groundwork for the rest of the season.

As for the smoking, think about anyone you know that smokes. Besides the addiction to it, why do people smoke? To calm their nerves. Tim was smoking constantly throughout this entry. My best guesses are as follows:

1) He is still extremely tense about everything
2) He is still addicted to smoking that much from a previous time when he was that anxious/nervous (like, say, when following Alex)

And if he is covering up the cough, he's also adding onto it. They call it smoker's cough for a reason. I only say this because it seems like Troy has been trying his hardest to add as many human elements to the characters as possible (making mistakes, learning from mistakes, awkwardness, etc etc). I wouldn't be surprised if he thought "Well Tim is still very anxious about it all, so let's make him smoke a lot to kinda show that something's up."

Not to mention he was puffing a lot more than regular smokers

Somebody called it in another thread a while back; This season is going to be about revealing Tim's character. First it was about Alex, then last season was about Jay. Now it's Tim.

I'm excited for all of the Tim-centric videos to come.

How was last season about Jay? Almost every single entry dealt with Alex in some way, and the overall plot of the season was finding out what Alex was up to.

Granny: "Yeah, I see a guy that comes in here like that, he's, sometimes he comes in here when he's uh looking for his.... says he has a doctor's appointment."

Did she just say that Tim comes in there looking for something?

I'm inclined to think that Tim's limp is psychosomatic. After all, he has outrun Jay at least once after entry #35 (when he lead Jay to the tunnel and then ran away.) No memory means no limp.

The brain can do a lot of weird things, particularly when pain is involved. Provided the limp is a pain issue and not a structural one, if the Masky persona is locked up in Tim somewhere, it's possible the limp is locked up with it. That explanation wouldn't even be much of a stretch.

^ I think I agree. Once he learns that he's Masky (if he does), I bet the limp will come back.

Hoodie might be keeping tabs on Alex, wherever Alex is right now, or Hes dead, or hes keeping an eye on Jay/Tim, or hes in China Razz For all we know, Hoodie is gone
