Also, how was it that Jay lurked around on the clinic's porch for days and no one was like, hey buddy, what's going on with you? Jay is so shady sometimes. Most of the time.

Maybe they didn't see the camera and thought he was homeless?

Maybe they've all seen Entry #49 and know better than to randomly approach people sitting around with cameras?

Yay new entries!

Okay, so I'm fairly convinced that Tim has actually had *some* memory loss because he doesn't really come across as shifty and if he remembered that Jay knew his identity presumably it'd be a bit of a different dynamic talking to Jay. But he clearly remembers something happened, or else I don't think he would have brought up the tapes when he didn't in Entry 15, with about as much stimuli to remind him of them. So I think the question at this point is simply: how much does Tim remember?

Also regarding the tapes... is it possible these "behind-the-scenes" tapes are going to reveal where some of the TTA footage is from?

It would certainly prove that Tim is TTA. But anything about alex doing slendy things would have been with held right?... So if theres bad crap with Alex going on in the tapes, Alex either made a mistake, or Tim isnt being honest about the tapes.

I completely forgot about that. Yes you're right. These may very well be the source of the first few TTA entries.

Just watch, "stuff Alex had me film" will be code for "Alex had me stalk you, Jay."

Entry #15 - Jay interviews Tim about MH. Tim goes home, remembers he has some MH tapes, watches them, becomes Masky, tackles Jay in Entry #18 or so.

Entry #53 - Jay talks to Tim about MH. Tim goes home, remembers he has some MH tapes and calls Jay about them.... watches them, becomes Masky again?

The italicized stuff is my theory. Perhaps Tim's tapes are what made him into Masky.

For starters, they had better have Slendy chilling in the background. Very Happy

Second, "behind-the-scenes" means that Tim was more involved than we thought he was. Before this we just thought he was in a few entries and then got tossed into the doctor's office of despair. (right?)
Now that we know this, perhaps Alex took Tim because he knew too much...

Interesting. If Tim does watch the tapes and they trigger his memories, since Jay knows the identity of Masky perhaps we will have Tim as himself seek out Jay for once.

If Tim indeed doesn't remember his Masky antics, his realization of who he is could be some thing like the moment in Death Note where Light regains the notebook and remembers all he's done.

It would be awesome.

I liked this entry for the conversation between the characters. Jay was so awkward. And I loved how upset he was with more tapes. It's nice to see what the characters think about their situation.

Also, I like the idea about Tim's limp being psychosomatic because I took psych 101 and that makes me a psychology wizard. (I'm just poking fun at myself, not anyone else haha)

I noticed that Tim assumed that Jay had his phone number when they were exchanging information. Why would that be? If Tim barely remembers Jay, why would he assume that Jay had his number?

Also, I'm new here. Hi. Weird coincidence: literally yesterday, it suddenly occurred to me that I never kept up with the MH videos after around Entry #18 was posted. I couldn't remember why I stopped watching, so I went on a binge and watched them all in one day. Then I saw that Season 3 was coming out TODAY. Talk about timing!

Am I the only one who laughed when Jay said.

"Great, more tapes."

Did she just say that Tim comes in there looking for something?

First of all--great entry--it has finally begun...WHOO-HOOOO!!

I'm glad you brought this up because I noted her stammer, too and wondered if it was merely a flubbed line OOG--or her IG character starting to say something without thinking and nervously realizing it and managing to switch gears at the last second.
I don't hear well to begin with--so when I got to that part,I wasn't sure so I replayed it several times and when I distinctly heard her say ..." when he's looking for his..." the first thing that popped into my head was "For his father." (as in the delivery driver)
I know that sounds pretty dumb, but I'm only mentioning my first reflex reaction. One of the things that makes me think it was NOT a flubbed line is the fact that she only had a few lines anyway.So--if she DID flub it--why leave it in the final cut?Why not simply do another take?
BTW,@Icy780--LOL on the image post--you ninja'd me!That cracked me up!

I'm kinda on the fence about the sincerity of Tim--but I'm leaning toward him being mindwiped and/or split, for several reasons:He was/is on medication,he is a patient at a mental health clinic,he seemed awkward when talking to Jay--but not overly nervous or defensive.
I am excited about more MH vids and hoping they will provide answers as well as some great drama and tension/suspense.Like others here--I,too wonder if he's just gonna hand said tapes over or watch them first.
No matter what...it's on like a pot o' neckbones naow!!

Loved the establishing shot of Jay driving: it felt right for the season opener, y'know?

Regarding the Timnesia (great coinage, btw) my theory from the end of last season still stands, and can now be extended to Tim: I'm pretty convinced that, after Alex's failed attempt to kill Jay and Jessica, he was too injured to go after them, and instead sent his friend, Mr. Slend to finish the job via memory wipe. Stands to reason he also sent TO after Tim, after his encounter with him in #52.

Of course, unlike Jay, Tim honestly doesn't know what happened in the preceding months: he wasn't filming himself constantly (like Jay) so has no records of his activities or clues at all. Hence the mental health clinic appointments.

One thing that strikes me as odd, though, is unless Tim is faking how much he's forgotten, his memory loss seems to encompass much more than just the preceding 7 months that Jay lost. Seeing as, unless he's a really good actor IG in this entry, he doesn't act like he's hiding knowledge of anything at all about masks, or the Slendoperator, or Alex's weirdness. It's as if he truly doesn't remember any of it. Jay's amnesia definitely wasn't that extensive.

Though I guess if you find yourself inexplicably forgetting several months of your life, you might come to assume that any weird memories from before that time are false in some way. (Especially if they involve weird shit like impossibly tall faceless strangers in business suits.) You would just assume it's your mind playing more tricks on you. (Well, I would.)
...

It made me smile when Jay mentioned the sideburns: he actually latched onto a pertinant, memorable detail to describe the guy. Our boy is learning.

I made this comic a while back, when Jay first mentioned describing Tim to random strangers. I like to think I predicted the importance of the sideburns. Wink

Welcome. In approximately two entries, you will hate it here. Very Happy

Tim is assumed to have remembered everything up until after Entry 15, so Tim still remembers the interview with Jay awhile back (wow, Marble Hornets has been on for awhile. Time flies) and so he figured that he would've gotten Jay's number back then.

Maybe, since everyone seems to be convening in this area, the townspeople are on special lookout for young guys being shady with cameras.

"It's another one. Don't talk to him and maybe he'll go away."
