Back in Hidden cameras and emails, Jeff deleted a lot of videos, seemingly under some sort of HABIT/Slendy influence. With his "stop watching us," there's a chance that he could have done it on purpose.

Crackpot theory of the morning – What if Jeff and Evan's places are reversed?

The only flaw with the theory, and I'll state it outright, is that Jeff is hardly "disregarding obvious danger and assuming the role of force." But with the implication that Jeff's been possessed, Evan could have been an elaborate setup – especially as Evan now has pledged to be the guardian of both his heart, Steph, and his blood, unborn baby Evan. Meanwhile, Jeff could be the one approaching inHABITation. Jeff doesn't seem like he's in the mood to defy many gods right now, whereas Evan has every reason to.

(Insert mandatory "Just a thought" here.)

To be fair to them, though, if I heard that I was going to "be dealt a fatal blow," or "defect and self-immolate" or "swallow Justice's sword," I'd probably ignore it for a while too. They should be figuring out the prophecies more, but when something that's already malevolently stalking you starts speaking openly of your death, you tend to ignore it. Especially if playing by their rules would probably lead them to that point. Refusing to accept it could be a minor rebellion.
