My personal theory after this episode is that Evan is HABIT, or at least is always inHABITed. Also I watched tribetwelve again recently, and in the beginning, Milo says "It's a force of habit". Don't know if there's any significance, but still, thought it was worth pointing out.

Around the :35/:36 mark there's kind of a ticking sound (reminds me of a tazer sound) and I'm not sure if the little smirk is Evan reacting to it or to the whole Steph portion.

Also bringing up something for a while ago, when the guys found the WIFI cameras and they were on their way out by what

it'd been hashed out if the red light over Vin's shoulder was a Holiday light or a camera. I thinking camera again due to the new episode we were shown.

Now back to your more insightful posts!

I'll run off into left field doing figure eights if it'll give me an answer. Wink

Just watched .... in the synchtube. The drowning sequence looked much too big to be a pool.

i apologize for not reading the last few pages of posts, but i just need to get something out here:

i find this whole pregnancy subplot really, really uncomfortable. and not in a good way, either.

i've always been wary of the "rape as drama" trope as well as the token-female-is-preggers trope, and knowing that the two could be related here makes me feel gross in a way that makes me seriously consider no longer following this project.

it's not a condemnation of the crew, and it's not explicitly a condemnation of the story itself.

i just...really would not have liked things to go this way. mostly due to my own prior biases and the experiences i've had that make me really uncomfortable with these kinds of tropes.

so...yeah. sorry i wasn't able to offer much insight on the latest couple videos. i just had to get that out and, in the process, possibly let other users know that they're not the only ones who feel like that.

i'll still follow EMH. but things have hit...a little too close, and my ability to enjoy it from a mostly clinical standpoint has been compromised in these last few updates.

first please forgive me this isn't easy to type on a smartphone that insist on fighting back.
secondly your feelings at least from my stand point are understandable.

me this last post almost seems to take out the rape issue. Now I say almost because it was brought up on the blog. But to me this video had Evan saying, "this is my kid."
I Hope I'm more right with this then wrong.

uuuhhh...yeah...rape is out of the question. Evan pretty much clearly stated it's his kid...

Where the fuck was there even an implication Steph was raped? Evan's owned up to the child, is excited for it, even and the boys clearly think he and Steph are in a mutually willing relationship?

Your viewpoint and opinion are understandable; I personally couldn't get into another popular blog for a similar reason (although it was a different trope). You don't have to justify it or talk about it if you're uncomfortable, but since you've opened the subject, I'm guessing that's not the case. So I'm curious: How is Steph's pregnancy more egregious than the previous mentions of rape in EMH?

Something just jumped out at me during the "Twenty-four months" vid. During the Frank sinatra part, at around 2:50, there are glasses with bloodstains on the ground and what looks to be a car in the background. It calls back to "A Vinny/HYBRID Christmas". The clips of Jeff and Vin in the car end with what appears to be a head-on collision. I feel like the clip in the latest video shows the aftermath of the accident, possibly resulting in a dead Vinnie, and adds some strength to the "Iteration" theory.

Mentioned this a few pages ago--although not in quite as much detail..didn't get a response as I recall, but I'm glad you have reiterated my query as there are SO many things to dissect in most EMH vids and this one is certainly rife with speculation and I am very curious about that moment of his bloody glasses lying on the road Shocked Sad

At this point, the implication is more in the speculation than in the text. It all hinges on who was in control of Evan's body during the session that led to Steph's impregnation. If it was Evan-as-Evan, then it was A-OK; if it was HABIT-as-Evan, setting up a Rosemary's Baby scenario, then Steph's consent was obtained under false pretenses and was invalid, thus rape. Nick's CYSTW entry could be read as support for that.
