4th wall is broken.

I think the thing that really bugs me the most is the 4th wall it breaks with the 'prizes', not so much the actual asking for money. He could do it in the guize of needing money for his house, but the way the prizes are put up there seems cheesy. IDK. my .02 I'd rather if they did it like they did with the Joker Blogs. "hey, we're the actors for this, sorry for breaking the 4th wall, but we need funds and this is EXACTLY waht this money is going towards, and THIs money is going to this...ect"

Once I get some money to spare, I'll totally donate. I've spent money on more useless things, and at least they've proven themselves with like a year's worth of good stuff! They need a budget! I'm hoping this means we'll get some crazy ARG shit happening. maybe part of the price is like plane tickets for location filming while Chris is searching or something XD

Anway, at least they aren't going all "now-i-know" on us, with asking for money up front. I for one think this is totally worth donating some cash for.

Sent this to the "Project Creator" or whatever a message, I think if we can get more details, we'd all be more willing to fund it. (Though, I'm willing to fund it anyway...) I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear something back. I think it really will help get this thing funded if we just know WHY and WHAT FOR?

Alright, so here's the tidbits I got back I think the PM is okay with me sharing.

"Every frame was created from scratch and funded out of pocket. I want the series to continue and continue to get better. It's a lot of work and takes a lot of time and I try to get you all new episodes as quickly as possible...

...It's a donate if you want positions... if as a fan, you don't want to, I don't hold that against anyone, and just continue to watch episodes, but there will be more wait in between episodes...

Thanks for reaching out to them, OWP, and sharing the response! I'm more than happy to send some money their way, too. They've definitely earned it. I guess I was just surprised the way this came about and really seemed to shift the momentum.

I also wondered if this meant everything was coming to a stop til some $-goal was reached. I'm glad to see that doesn't seem to be the case!

By positions does that mean like people to participate in the episodes or something?

I don't really know. That stuck out at me too. I think they just meant talking about supporting the ARG itself as a 'position'.

If I had the money, I'd do $150. I wonder if it can be like $35 a week that adds up or something? I can't really donate that much all at once, but I want a shirt and sticker... XD I'll probably end up with just the $25 though.
