Just noticed this tidbit:

Tim: I'm not the "movie guy."

4:10 (2006)

Alex: Why am I holding the camera?

Tim: Because you're the "movie guy."

Tim is so lieing to Jay...poor Jay...

Usually when he appears it's like he's just standing in the distance and if you "ignore" him maybe he'll "wander off" and leave you alone. But in that last scene he's moving incredibly fast, like an attack was inevitable. That freaks me out. Also, it's been a while since we've seen him in somebody's house. Not a hotel or woods or a creepy old building, but a normal ordinary house. Like mine. Crap.

Great entry!

Something potentially interesting that I noticed: The lighting abruptly shifts right before The Operator enters through the doorway around 6:47. To me, it looks like the beam of the flashlight darts from directly above Alex to the doorway, as if the person holding the flashlight (Brian) suddenly spots The Operator as it enters.

This would seemingly suggest that at least Brian saw The Operator in this encounter and that The Operator was not totally in "stealth mode" or what have you.

I see it as well. I think maybe the light triggered the sudden rush attack.

It's 3:30 in the morning, and I was just checking my e-mail one last time when I saw the new entry had been posting.

Welp, sleep is overrated anyway.

Y'know, I think the humor in this entry just made the Slendysightings even creepier. There was some fantastic mood whiplash between the guys goofing around with their music and the deeply creepy Slendy moments.

I love this entry so much I'm going to be late for work : ]

So where do we want to place this entry within the timeline?

I know it lacks a large amount of info for an accurate date but I think this is from early on. Alex isn't raging on anyone and everyone seems pretty happy with being there.. yet with how close the Operator was it can't be too early in the game.

What if Tim was the one who originally was slenderstalked? And maybe he came to peace with it. The Operator was part of his life and that's why he did not react.

I don't know if "originally" would work. Remember, Alex has been stalked since he was a kid.

At least since there's not that many tapes, Jay can't make the excuse that it's taking a while to look through the tapes. We should be getting new entries regularly.

If they're going to keep up with the "it's all real" thing anyways.

Ok. The first time I watched this I thought "meh"

But as I watched it again, and paid attention to the dialogue, I enjoyed it. I also dug the rain and lightning.

It starts with Tim Jay and Seth. They said Alex was soaked and went home to change. Alex took his own car home, and didn't ride home with Seth, Tim, and Jay. Seth asks Jay if the tapes were in Alex's car, and Jay says yeas. Im starting to think that Seth was an editor of the film, because Jay says "if you don't want to wait for him you better get going."

The next scene has Tim Alex and Brian. Tim and Brian might have been roomates. Why would he be using Tim's towel to rub his hair? "Another keyboard, complete with beats."

Then Tim goes to the breaker room. He should have seen The Operator right there, the camera hovered over him for a little too long. Nice easter egg to get to see the living room left as is of the actors.

So I thought alright fine after this everyone remains normal and The Operator comes.

But then I noticed.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The note Alex plays at the end while Tim is telling him to not look so dramatic

And how he makes it louder and how he plays the same octave with his other hand just as the distortion starts.

Could be, and is probably, just Joseph being comedic. Could also be a dead giveaway that Alex coreographed this.

The youtube channel has a link to the dvd website, and the videos all have ads before them. Unless Jay gets money through a big youtube partnership, it's silly to pretend it's all real at this point.

The point is that we're supposed to pretend it is. I mean, it's still pretty much acting as an ARG regardless.

Well..where to begin? Very Happy

First of all, this is an awesome entry and I was on the edge of my seat and had that good ol' slight knotting in my gut ala 'the old beginning days when I first stumbled upon this vlog' --didn't think that was possible anymore (the law of diminishing returns).

There are so many things I want to address--I hope I remember them all,LOL.I noted that at around 6:32-33 there is a glitch/video tear and then the sound cuts out, which immediately PRECEDES Alex starting to play "The Tone" and the sound cutting back in and the whole "You look so dramatic" and Slendy's brisk entrance into the room.

Also--when Tim leaves the room to go "find the circuit breaker box" just before he gets to it the power comes on briefly for a few seconds and he mumbles "nevermind" (meaning "Problem solved--power came back on by itself...") and he swings around and there's Ol' Slendy standing there which he not only doesn't react to--but the sound gets a bit fuzzy/distorted for a couple seconds and then the power goes out again, after which he mumbles "Never mind,again..."

I gasped out loud when I saw SETH becuase I honestly believed due to OOG reasons we were given that we'd NEVER see him again, and gasped AGAIN when I saw Brian! Very Happy

As far as Slendy's moving only "slowly"--he was cutting quite a good clip in Entry #4 (the one in the park at night),plus--since he teleports--his actual movement as the eye see it in a linear way and being fast or slow is kinds rendered MOOT in my opinion because TELEPORTING[i]

Congratulations Marble Hornets, you have made your Slenderman scary again.

For a long time now, and by that I mean for just about all of the last season, The Operator just came off as a tall man standing still with distortion that I was supposed to be afraid of, but never was. I feel that your series drifted away from being terrifying, and more about solving a mystery. Which is fine, but I missed that disturbed feeling I used to get after watching an entry. Tonight you guys changed the atmosphere, and the Operator was able to give me a very unsettling feeling inside once again.

I think a large reason for this is the setting. In outside environments, at least during the day, things are so much less frightening; and that's what season two consisted the most of. The idea of being stuck in a low lit environment, especially with Slenderman able to move fast, can be a terrifying one.

This was one of my favorite entries so far.

Around 6:10...is there someone crashed out on the couch? I can't seem to get the YouTube app on the iPad to pause at the correct spot...

This video strengthens my theory that the video tearing doesn't happen because of The Operator, but because of the Operator teleporting. When he was right in the same room as Tim (probably been there a while), just audio and video weirdness. No tearing. When Tim's back in the room with the other two and Alex starts screwing with the keyboard: Tearing, followed by complete loss of video. In other words: Operator teleports from the previous room to theirs

Ok... I noted this upon first view/listen,but wanted to go back and listen more intently before I mentioned it and I could be wrong--but this seems/sounds very significant--and yet could easily be missed and that would be a shame because it smacks SO MUCH of the sound phenomenons that occurred several times in season one that were so fucked up and creepy--yet subtle and you could almost MISS THEM.

The power goes out and Alex starts to comment about wanting Tim's playing to have more volume and just after that,at approx. 5:02,Tim replies to Alex, "Ok...well I'd also like to be able to see,so I'm gonna go try to find the breaker box (and he says, more as an aside "I don't even know where it is--I've never needed it before...",also to be noted,Tim is barefoot) just after that, you hear him stub his toe/foot/whatever and hear the hollow sound of whatever he ran into and he exclaims "OWW!" and Alex, being a smart ass, says "Not there!" and Tim replies just after, "Nope!" and Alex kind of chuckles.
Directly after that,we hear from another direction and from farther away and in a tone above the original "OW!" and slightly distorted an echoing "OW!" and some kind of weird "fumbling" type noise and an quick "exhale" type sound.

I mention this because it is very similar to the numerous times in Season One when someone (presumably Slendy) "echoed" or tried to somehow creepily "emulate" speech or other "verbal/or sound occurances/phenomena".

The fact that the lights are out/power is out,and we see Tim subsequently enter an area not long after where Slendy is there in all his glory not long after that "echoing/mimicking",to ME,is very significant. Shocked
