1. You can not fully review a video series if you skip parts of it. if you can't sit through it, just don't watch it because your validity of the situation won't be looked at with any value.
2. Every slenderverse series is different in many ways. For Cloverinchicago, the feel goes along with the talking. This definitely is more of a vlog-style than an ARG-style. Updating more frequently also takes away from the time many of the bigger series use to edit, but many smaller vlogs are here to occupy those who are waiting for the big three/five to update. Still, the amount of time one puts into their own series shows how much commitment they give. The creator of CiC does more than a lot to try and tell us a story in the vlog format, and the truth about it that you can either appreciate it or not touch it. That's just how these things work.
Okay. Yesterday and today I went back and fully reviewed the series. While its not quite as bad the second time around, (a few snatches of dialogue I thought that seemed forced where actually built up, etc.) I feel that my previous poin is still roughly correct. I guess I just take acting too seriously, to the point were it makes or breaks a series for me...

None of us are professional actors. If you think of acting that highly, then you have to hate Marble Hornets.

Eldest, I've read your previous posts, and I've noticed you never have anything good to say about any series unless it's Marble Hornets or Tribe Twelve...way to encourage the small creator buddy!

Then apparently you aren't paying too close attention to my posts. I always try to find the positive in any series. The fact that I couldn't find much doesn't bode well for my opinion of the series.
Also Marble Hornets has superb acting.

Bullshit. Alex is awful! He sounds like he never knows his lines! You're just asking for it with your posts.

All right look. I'm tired of debating with you people. You're not going to change your mind, and I'm certainly not going to either. I was willing to give this series a second look-through, and it still wasn't worth my time. I'm sorry if you can't handle another person's opinions.

Not when the other person's opinions are bigoted. You say you do not like subpar acting, and call MH's acting superb, when it clearly isn't all that great (Tim is excellent, but Troy and Alex are just meh). I do not wish to go any further into this, just make sure you think before you criticize something...constructive criticism is helpful, hurtful bigoted comments are not welcome.

Wait, wait...if MH is the golden standard of acting, then the pedestal is a low one indeed.
Listen, I love Marble Hornets. I think the editing's great, it keeps me consistently interested in what's going on, it still provides some scares, and production quality is great. I think it's well deserving of its position. That said, the acting is subpar. The only one to pull off a good if not great performance was Jessica, and that was only really noticeable in Entry 32. I don't even know if I can give Tim credit for good acting for that series, as we haven't seen him enough as Tim, and his appearances as Masky have consisted of both him standing creepily in the background and him getting knocked the fuck out.
As filmmakers, Troy and Joseph do great, but as actors? Sorry. They are average/below average at best.

So much improvement in the last 2 entries. Mother of god the whimpering actually disturbed me.
As or Clara,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
She has some kind of multiple personality disorder, apparently she's been running from slendy for a long time or perhaps she's part of the things after Clover?
If I recall in the 'Another Update' Video, I think we actually see Clara with her 'zalgofied' face.
As for the mirror, maybe it's talking about something like a childhood.. there is the journal after all.
