I like azure's theory about the hidden footage.

I went over the first few minutes again, before Jeff brings up Maryann. A few thoughts:

- Alex's drawings. I wonder if there's something to them, in an Obfuscating Insanity/Wonka/Only Sane Man way. 
- Is Jeff texting around the 2 minute mark? The camera points right at his hands, and it seems deliberately filmed. Who could he be texting? 
- What about the gizmo in Jeff's bag? Is that the Sigma detector? 
- I'm having trouble making out what they're saying. Jeff mentions something about an elementary school, and they keep referencing a follow-up to something (sounds like yard-something, maybe yard work?). Can anyone else figure it out? 
- Just what the hell are Jeff and Vinny doing anyway?

I know it's probably too late for this, but in the last Entry on Canyouseethewords, Roger mentions a Monica Swartz, the only known survivor of a Habit attack. She might be worth trying to track down.

Another lead, which I've emailed them once or twice about but no answer, is Corenthal's partner, Dr. Roberts. If not information about Habit/Slendy/Rake, he could have stuff on the Sigma Detector and the Mining Town Four.

I think it's possible that Vinnie would knowingly sell the others out, but I don't think he'd do it unless he believed that if he did it, all this supernatural shit would leave him alone. And that would be a pretty hard thing to convince him given it's obvious that Slendy, the Rake, and HABIT don't exactly have his best interests at heart. It would be easier to get him to do it through mind control, etc.

Of course, if you want to make him feel guilty, then convincing him to do it of his own free will is the way to go, and I always thought that "swallowing justice's sword" sounded more like suicide than being murdered.

As a side note, waaaaaay back in the workout videos, Vinnie was introduced as Vince Everyman, if we really want to assign the role of "everyman" to someone.

My only weigh in on the VINNIE IS EVIL!?!Q?!?!?!??!?!?SHIFT+1 theory is this:

With the exception of the telephone that appeared in Alex's closet and the Everyman Morality Play related stuff... Vince is the least suspicious of the crew.

And let's not forget how many people that Evan has 'found dead' or been seen around before they go missing, or in fact killed.

I mentioned this in Angora yesterday, but Habit is now in possession of all the 'EMH material" Jeff and Vinnie were messing around with.

I sent Habit an email, pandering to his /giving/ nature to maybe pass that stuff on to us.

I'd be willing to bet that it'll be the 7th box.

Either Vinnie was inHABITed the entire video or he's a manipulative backstabbing evil bastard. He claimed they were replying to every email, something we know is not true. Then he sends Jeff alone for no good reason to get Evan and insists that he take a camera with a really phony excuse despite the fact that he knows Jeff hates the filming? If that's all coincidence, it's the most ridiculous coincidence ever.

I hope Steph is still alive, but with Evan apparently in full-on HABIT mode, I'm not holding out much hope for her.

Maybe I'm looking too much into this, but does Jeff have a look of fear at this moment? He looks right at the camera when Vinnie asks him this. Not sure if it's that big of a deal.

There prolly won't be much in this post that hasn't been said before.
It DOES sound like Jeff is being taken hostage rather than being killed. He is most likely being tortured in Evan's HABIT's basement. However if he is being held hostage, who will rescue him. Alex is (presumed) dead, Evan is inHABITed, Vinnie is most likely pretty damn evil, Steph is dead (maybe? Are we sure?). Who else is there? I think we will likely see a reemergence of Dr. C. Maybe he will be the one to rescue Jeffy.
Next, I believe this video is on par with the "A day in the life" video, as far as significance. We have Jeff texting someone. Mysterious drawings from Alex, Jeff getting attacked, the reappearance of Nick, and proof(sorta) that Vinnie is not as benevolent as we were led to believe. Also, and most importantly, WHO WAS UPLOAD?
