The answer translates to:

They conduct clandestine human experimentation
(clandestine means secretive)

What I've gathered is that the disappearances are linked to human experimentation where they are attempting to graft wings to people.

(using this as a reference)


I also noticed that the subject's name in ofrocoraes-218.jpg is Edward Shipman.

 		lurking - I read the darker word parts to be eye sw ore - as in " I swore"
also -the background wording - has anyone been able to work out what it says - seems familiar...

Not sure if this means anything, but someone posted that the subject's name in ofrocoraes-218.jpg is Edward Shipman.

After an online search of the name, there was a person named Edward Shipman who died in the year 1826.

It might be nothing, but I figured I would share it anyway.

Also, are we sure that the E.O. stands for the "Eagle Owl"?

Yes, it was confirmed 4 days ago by Anakhronos at ask.php (see Elouise's post, page4). Also, the latest question there completes the E. O. substitution alphabet:

i found it in the source of the main page. gapizu translates through the cypher to sujeto which is spanish for subject

Yes, it is. And you can read:
