I want an epologe of the final scene of Alex's Marble Hornets.

Brian and Tim are in front of a Greyhound and saying goodbye, that they can't live in the past and move on. Tim says that he'll keep in touch, sorry that things didn't work out with Sara and once Tim moves out Brian will throw him a hearthwarming party.

The text scrawl goes something like this " This is the last of Alex's Marble Hornets footage." "Since Jay wanted so badly to preserve it, I honored his wishes since he cannot do it himself."

A week later Requim is released
ABSENT FRIENDS
Shots of the Marble Hornets crew hanging out
FALLEN HEROES
Jay, Tim, the other TTA members
DEFEATED VILIAINS
Alex and The Operator
SHATTERED INNOCENTS
Sara, Amy, Jessica, Bruce...
Outsiders
Random croud footage

I'm sort of expecting an ending like this.

I don't want an ending that just kind of leaves you sitting there like "well, I guess that's reasonable..." You know? Sort of like the ending of Mockingjay of the Hunger Games series, if you ever read that. (I'm not gonna reveal any spoilers) - It is the third and final book of the trilogy and the ending was just kind of like "mehhh, alright I guess." Nothing that made me go "OH SHIT," which is what an ending should do for a book of that nature.

That's exactly what I don't want from Marble Hornets. Basically any ending that has Jay talking to the camera and reconciling or whatever.

And I've said it before, but I hope Troy keeps his word from this blog post:

Quote:
Q: The ending is going to be one giant ambiguous wad where nothing gets resolved and no questions are fully answered, isn't it.
A: Come on, I'm no David Lynch.

I wonder if they have the ending planned out now, or if they're just going to cross the bridge when they come to it...

I love this. Especially the final line.

...Except for the fact that you killed off practically all of the characters. At least keep Jay, Tim, OR Jessica alive.

Exactly, I don't want for one of "those" to happen. One of those Gone With the Wind things where almost everybody ends up dead. Or even worse, another one of those scenarioes where literarly EVERYBODY but one person dies, and the last guy standing looks around at all the dead bodies and goes, "Oh, crap."

I posted in this thread about a month ago, but seriously. After finishing Mass Effect 3, I'm just paranoidly worried...

If it turns out that the entire plot of the web series was actually Alex's film "Marble Hornets", and the "Marble Hornets" that Alex tried to shoot during the events of the webseries was just a film within a film, then...I'll be kind of disappointed. But I'm confident that Troy will deliver a satisfying conclusion.

Like I said though, there's a good chance that the ending is going to be verrrry dark. And I'll also say again: I don't expect The Operator or his motives to be explained.

Imagine this: Most of the plot is resolved. Maybe Tim is healed of his maskiness, Jessica, Brian, Seth, and Sarah's fates are all discovered, and Jay figures out where Alex is. He knows how to off the Operator and/or Alex, and the last entry is basically a "I'm going now, but there's a good chance I may not make it out alive... I thank you all for the help." And then that's the end. Maybe he offed the Operator, maybe not, but he dies. So the mysteries are all wrapped up, but the final resolution, whether or not he managed to kill the operator, is left up in the air (so we can still have Slendy nightmares)

Second possibility: we've considered before that totheark is a team made up of former cast members of Marble Hornets who are now all off wearing masks and shady videos.

Consider this: Sometime this season, Jay has an encounter with Alex and/or Slenderman, but makes it out alive. However, the entries start being interspersed with or containing TTA-style crypticness. Jay descends into maskiness. The good guys win, but they remain as crazy masked people forever.

Some stuff I thought up.

This idea popped into my head today and I need to get it out! What if Jay does what any normal person would do and take the videos to the police? They arrest Alex and due to the nature of his crimes he gets put on death row (since Alabama has the death penalty.) Then Alex spends the rest of his life in maximum security prison and if there's a camera on him the Operator can visit him in his cell whenever he likes. Years pass and Alex is literally unable to escape.

Whatever happens after that point is pretty grim. Either Alex gets executed with the Operator watching over him (perhaps messing with the lights/electricity for maximum scary), or Alex ends up dead in his cell after the Operator feasts on him, or Alex gets declared insane and moved to a maximum security mental health unit where he lives for decades with the Operator watching over him.

Not the kind of ending we'll see, of course, but an interesting one. Shocked

I kind of get the sense that Jay HAS shown footage to the police and they've just dismissed it as a student prank, but still interesting....

In deeply twisted way, I'd love that to happen(even though I don't trust TTA or their motives)...

Heh, I'm very different to you, I don't want particularly characters to be 'safe', no matter how much I love them. I love a good shock Smile If Tim died this early on, it'd be a very good twist. So, I'm be more then content if Jay was killed in the next entry before we see Tim's final video and the series cuts to Jessica taking the reins of the investigation or even Tim, unaware of his Masky personality, investigating Jay's death and the mysterious YouTube account, uncovering a frightening revelation about himself.....

Of course, if Tim did die, I would miss all the eye candy Smile (Although Brian is fufilling that role quite nicely this season...) (And of course, Jay...) Smile

There's no way Tim is dying this early on. The entire point of this season is to flesh out his character. Revealing that he had a cough once isn't exactly enough to write a biography on the guy

Unless he is killed off and his purpose in the story/history is revealed through another lot of tapes Jay finds? Smile

Tim is pretty much the only relatively sane guy that we have current whereabouts, or in other terms, the only other character besides Jay that's capable of carrying out the investigation of the season. If he died already, Jay would be left by himself. Again. And in my opinion, the foresaking of another potentially developed character would be a stinker.

Plus, we want present stuff. Not just more and more tapes piled on.

Here's my idea for the VERY end. I don't have any ideas for what happens before the last scene, but I guess the Operator has been destroyed, Alex has been arrested, Totheark has been revealed, and Tim has turned himself in to get professional mental care.

Jay has lived through everything, Jessica is also alive and is reunited with him (I've always liked that pairing). The last scene opens with another driving shot. We see the silos from the Introduction and Entry 54. Text from Jay says the following:

"After four years of running, we're finally safe. Me and Jessica are going as far away from here as we can."
Footage of them driving past Rosswood Park.
"Now that it's all over, I'm finding it hard to move on. I feel like so much has changed since the beginning of it all. Myself being among them."
Montage of highlights from the entire series.
"I'd wanted to sell my cameras, but just couldn't bring myself to. Jessica also encouraged me to hang on to them."
The car is now on the highway.
"I'll never be able to forget any of this. And I'm honestly starting to think that's a good thing"
"But I want to be able to move, look back on this, and remember that it's over."
Shot from the car, pulling into a parking lot
"I think I'll make a documentary."
Screen fades to black
"About hotels."
