[META] Thankyou all

Bit of an explanation first..
Smile

I first heard of ilovebees.com from a friend, who mentioned it briefly in a conversation, being a fan of Halo I checked out the site and did a little reading on Halo related forums here and there and while ilovebees.com did look quite interesting I couldn't investigate it further or follow it for long due to some other things in my life.

Well roughly a month back I checked up on it again and found my way to humptydumpty.html and grabbed the .wav files there. I believe it ran to week 5 at the time.. listened to them in order and I was hooked, addicted, drawn in and filled with awe every time the playlist restarted.
So once again I started digging around the web, deeper into ilovebees.com, picking up some recipe# (cant recall the number) .wavs and every little sound clip spiked my interest and curiosity further and further.

I found this place, I lurked and read up, trying to puzzle out how this particular ARG operates or how they work in general. I saw the extent of this community. Saw how much passion you all put into it, saw how very deep and engrossing this game is, how much dedication, camaraderie exists among you all, the active players, the moderators, everyone here and in so many related places I cant bring them all to mind.. The whole scope of it simply blows my mind..

And now, every few days I check around my ilovebees/The Haunted Apiary bookmark set to see if I can pull down another set of .wavs, add them to the playlist, turn off the lights, lie back comfortably and displace myself for a while.. And in the back of my mind is always the thought that I'm listening to these files because a great number of you have taken the time to answer the puzzles, figure out the site, find those payphones and get yourselves involved with such dedication.

Right well, enough with the rambling, what I'm trying to say is this>

To all of you who play this ARG, to all those who help others play it, who organize resources and provide spaces for discussion, collation, speculation and organization of everything..

THANK YOU

In more detail, thanks to:
Smile
Naturally, to all who are behind organizing this ARG (the Puppet masters right?).

Vipsteve (I'm guessing Steve Peters? from what I gather in the wired.com article on ilb) for making the very convenient and brilliant ilb Audio File Repository where I can always find my fix. Can't thank you enough for that.

DJ Drunken Master, tycho(/Craig Hardgrove?) for the incredible ilovebees fan music.

To the moderators of this place, for doing a great job of making everything clean and easy to navigate.

To the hordes of others who have already asked most of the questions which were on my mind so that I no longer have to.

To EVERY SINGLE person who actively plays this game and keeps it alive so that I can every now and again add a new assembled .wav file and listen to it, escaping this universe for a while..

To all those who I forget.. because there are many many many of those..

From the bottom of my heart, once again, thanks…

Right... well that's all. Stay well all of you.
Smile

You are most welcome. As one of the horde of axon hunters, I have to add my thanks to everyone who have gotten it done from first to last. The PMs and the voice actors beyond rawk. This has been such a fun game. Glad you can make it.

And once again, I too offer my thanks, to those who thank, and the receivers of thanks, thank you and thanks...
(*cringes as the sackers who sack those who sacked the sackers float through the brain*)

The loss of work time notwithstanding, this has been quite an enjoyable experience Smile

Wow... it's crazy how closely hollow.point's sentiments match my own; how we found out, became intrigued, and ultimately enjoy the game's progress and unfolding story. So similar, I just had to register and support his thanks.

Being in the final month of my education, time hasn't been on my side (stress). In fact, checking up on your guys' progress and listening to the latest audio clips has been how I've spent any break time I get. As hollow.point put it, out with the lights, relax, and enjoy being taken to another universe; I'll be sad when it's over Sad.

Anyway, I couldn't do it without you guys, so let me throw my thanks on the pile Very Happy. Thanks a million!

Since we are thanking people, I would like to thank all of the axon hunters who get up early and get the week's answers and senarios online for people like me.

I think I (along with countless others) would have flubbed along time ago without the dedicated network of beekeepers out there.

I have to thank everyone too who has had such an active participation in this ARG, it's been a blast!

I've enjoyed trying to hunt down axons, recently submitting one, and also now getting a personal call from Melissa; 17:03 Tuesday, Lt. Foxfire Smile

This has been my first experience with an ARG and this community has made it a great experience! Very Happy

If I had the time to give every axon hunter a hug that deserved one, I'd probably hunt axons instead!

(sniff sniff) WAAAAAHHH!!!

Thank you Hollow.Point for posting this, because as I constantly get my panties in a knot over whether or not the Flea is actually a lemon maringue pie, posts like this from the new guys always allow me to take a step back and realize that not only is this a game; it's the funnest damn game I ever played. I'm telling my grandkids about y'all. Promise.

More than that, thank you for thanking me, because it's more thanks that one payphone-answering ILB nerd deserves. To the Axon Hunters! May we bring the Covenant down through strength of numbers! May the Artifact turn out to be a plastic waffle from the prank shop! May Dana one day inherit the beekeeping business and become the world's leading encrypted-message-honey-bear-Internet-seller! May copies of Halo 2 suddenly materialize inside our Xboxes! And most importantly...

MAY WE NEVER HAVE A PREPOSITIONS PUZZLE AGAIN! From now on, nobody's allowed to use ANY prepositions. I'm serious. Prepositions stand between us and--no wait, prepositions keep us from being on top of--no, wait, prepositions are at the root of all--AAAAHH!!!
