Looks can be deceiving. T'would not surprise me in the least if we have been led considerably away from the true plot curve by the trailers. I ran into an official synopsis somewhere last week that was completely different from the one pasted everywhere, which (paraphrased) said two companies on Earth are in a resources war and one company's arrival on a planet resulted in destruction by an indigenous species.

Also: I read an interview with Guy Pearce yesterday which I cannot find now to save my life, but he slipped and made an extended comment about the TED video not being the only promo video we'll be seeing in that format, saying that there will be similar ones featuring other characters, as in plural.

Things will be heating up here in the next 48 hours is my guess. Hone your razors, guys!

there are 48 frames in the GIF image but there doesn't seem to be any hidden info there...

Edit: on second look, the stars seem to form a tilted "K" Smile

This is an actual star constellation which looks like a 'K' so I don't think it'll be a clue. But you're right about the stars lighting up in a specific order.

The names of each star stands for a letter that forms a word, based on the order each star is illuminated? Possibly? Do we know for a fact which constellation that is?

Week 2 Countdown ended

I thought I'd take a quick look at Discovering Prometheus, since the week 2 countdown ended at midnight.

The Week 2 sphere is now blue and live, but empty without any content as of yet.

. Hopefully another one is released soon (http://www.prometheus-movie.com/community/forums/topic/3170). I also found a mention of the synopsis you described at http://www.thetruthbehindthescenes.org/2012/04/01/prometheus-revelation-of-the-method-transhumanism-agenda-and-the-alien-gospel/. It mentions the Space Jockeys being 'bio-mechanoid'. Interesting...I wonder if this will cause problems with the David android that is brought along on the voyage.

It is not really that it is "empty without any content." More that opening Week 2 crashes the application.

You know, when you factor this in, it looks more and more like the material in the original Alien script that was cut is being used here. The only thing missing from Foster's scenario above is the Temple, which we all know is in the film, and indeed based on Giger's old design..

I can't even guess where on Earth this is supposed to be. The pictogram sort of looks like a piece of parchment too rather than a wall.
