Got some new websites from Netspec:

Well, I'm no expert in FAILTECH's phone systems, but I'm pretty sure it has some sorting mechanism where you can leave a message to virtually anyone in the company. I believe the sorting system is quite independent from LAINSY so it should work even with her down. The 4 major central number are linked together which means you can ring up virtually any of them and it will still do it's work. Well, that's as far as I know since I've worked with FAILTECH for quite a while as you may know.

I'm not pretty sure how to approach the Nox Ordo either... but so much for a secret organization... They do have two domains, one for their systems and one for their archives. We haven't been able to infiltrate either of them. So no dice trying that out. But maybe you guys can figure out something.

http://noxordosystems.net
http://noxordoarchives.org

Those 2 sites don't have much up on their main pages.

From the source code of http://noxordoarchives.org

Code:
go here frequently?
expecting someone to come along?
looking for something?
seeking an answer?

And from http://noxordosystems.net

Code:
//code
//line
//void

Hmmm

The "QUERY?" on the archive main page reminded me of LAINSY, who is done rebooting.

I wonder what caused the "unidentified user" errors to go away. Has anyone been hacking?

LANISY is back!

Ryan Bruno wrote:
Sorry if I was kinda late to send out this update, but I think you might have already noticed that LAINSY is back up. However, there will be a few things that might not work out well. Certain of her database is currently isolated to prevent any damage or data loss, and a couple of her databases are in sandbox mode. The rest will operate normally, but those will be sections that are not of high importance.

I'm pretty sure LAINSY is now clean, and I personally guarantee that we've been able to patch up all known vulnerabilities. We've rooted out certain stuff from her, so I'm sure if anything's in there we haven't taken out it will be crippled or inoperative. We've also enabled system isolation which means if anything happens to any of her systems, each will be completely isolated. The AIs have also been enabled to catch any malicious process or any doubtful query.

In speaking of queries, any previous queries you might have has been flushed out. All commands, requests, notification setup, and so forth are gone. You'll have to start from the begging if you have setup anything previously. We've done this as a security measure to make sure nothing's sticking in there to mess things up.

Your security clearance levels remains the same at Level 7, so it shouldn't be a problem. If you received this message it means you have Level 7 security clearance, others has been reset to Level 3, and all other people (those not in your team) has been reset to Level 1.

Good luck and keep safe!

As for unidentified user, perhaps its referencing Netspec?

sorry, been busy with work!

http://noxordoarchives.org/ has updated, at least based on what you posted on it previously...

Code:

DECEPTION

and commented on the source:
your eyes can fool

.... image attached

Meanwhile http://noxordosystems.net/ has also updated... no image, it just says:

SKILL

with the following commented on the source:

window
grid
match

Description   Logo of some sort, with what I think is binary overlaid to the image.... haven't got to figure out what it is, hard to see

Unfortunately, this file is no longer in our archives.

Decodes directly to

Looks like hex. I will pursue and update.

EDIT: Decodes to thefutureinourpast.

What now?

Hello! I'm traveling until Tuesday but I think this has an expiration date that I may need to answer soon. I texted Matthew Johnson via the FAILTECH hotline and got a response from him:
Quote:
FROM Matthew Johnson, AMSR Alpha :: As bright as the stars, as many as we could see only one can walk. Who is he?
I have been away all weekend but he contacted me again when I didn't respond:
Quote:
FROM Matthew Johnson, AMSR Alpha :: Awaiting your answer. Failure will result in termination.
I could use your help if you have time! Or if someone could ask LAINSY maybe it would know?

I asked LAINSY about order of night just now. I'll update once I get a response.

I got a Device Initial Report from Netspec about that PDA Althea gave her:
Quote:
I hope things are going well. I know Althea can't be reached at the moment, so I might as well tell what we found out so far regarding the device she handed to me.

We initially thought the device was probably some sort of beacon or maybe a sensor, but turns out the device is much more complex that what it actually is. We haven't got into actually activating the device (we're still working on that), but turns out the device is actually a complex super device as it seems to be build from the ground up using nano technology. We've done some scans, and the outerlayer of the device is a high density nano-crystal-structure based case that prevents scanning of its internals using regular types of scanners (x-rays, MRI, etc). The case is is also highly destruction-proof. It can't be easily drilled through, or cracked underpressure, or burned/melted under extreme temperatures. In simplest terms, it was designed to be virtually indestructable.

Of course, we have some specialized scanners at our disposal and thanks to few adjustements we were able to scan beyond the case ans see what's inside. Initially we thought we might have been doing it wrong, but then upon closer inspection the internals are actually high density nano circuitry suspended in some sort of liquid. Very very sophisticated.

So far, that's as much as we could determine. Until we figure out how to turn it on, we can't really tell what it can do.
