 		Jay was exposed to the operator already and he's the type of person who will go into deserted buildings at night unarmed as well as stay in a location to explore when he knows there is a hostile force hiding in it and he has a clear exit.

Basically his since of duty out weighs his sense of self preservation and he's easy to guide. He's the perfect minion.

That sounds like a really plausible theory, to me. Made me think of a possiblity: Totheark knows that Jay is oblivious to what he needs, and is trying to get him to remember granted the ambiguous puzzles in his videos. I know that that implies he already knows the "secret," but he probably has an idea of the information Jay has and is trying to jog his memory. If I just totally butchered your theory, I apologize. No matter what, this makes sense when you think about how it seems that Masky has been trying to protect Jay the entire time. He probably doesn't want him to end up with Alex's fate, or to be killed by the Operator, no less.

Going on your speculation, I think the ark is actually the information that Totheark wants from Jay.

 		Something tells me that we'll be seing a Totheark video before another entry, but you can never be sure with Marble Hornets. I kind of feel like Jay won't be posting anything until over the weekend, though. Just a hunch I have.

 		I wouldn't be surprised to see an 'Entry #####/enttry 37'-type video, or if something or someone tried to stop him from finishing the tapes. Probably not though.

I wouldn't say the found footage part of this season is already done or finishing - season one had a couple of instances where we were dropped back into the past after extended time in the present.
