alternatively, and to avoid confusion, we could make the hub group hosted on its own site and its own domain, not part of bungie.net at all. That way people dont get confused and try to join the hub group instead of joining a faction.

No it's not viable... it's just the technical limit that Bungie wrote into a Halo 2 clan. Much smaller clans should be what we're looking at - making one per state is probably a bit too large.

Edit: Good idea, Fauxhammer. Very good idea. I would also like to keep all the ILB clans connected somehow, as Smooth Jack's point is well taken - smaller clans work better.

Yes, I know, but we believe this group was... unfairly created, and has too many 'unknowns' in there. We want a group JUST for the hardcore beekeepers.

I think this is truly unfair, a tad elitist, and against the spirit of the game and The Haunted Apiary. I was looking forward to joining up. I lurked for months and followed the story the same as everyone here. I signed up when there was a puzzle I felt I could help with. Now because I stayed quiet and out of the way I feel like a second class citizen. I thought the point of the clan was to get to know each other and play with others that followed the story. So I guess I'm just on the outside looking in.

Cool… Censored

I'm just asking to bring up the issues. This clan may work very differently than I expect it to and I'd like to see a discussion about it.

Don't know if anyone else addressed this, but personally I'm more interested in having a clan just for cool people to play against--I don't care so much about playing other clans.

I have to agree with devolver. I used to be a hardcore clan gamer. Schedualed practices, matches, and scrimages, but I can't do that anymore because I have a job and a wife (its mostly the wifes fault, but what are ya gonna do). Now, when I get on XBL I just want to play with people I get along with, i.e. some one that is not going to be a jerk and bring the whole experience down for me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against having competitive matches everyonce in a while, it is just that it is not feasible for me to devote 10-15 hours a week to a competitive clan. Thats why I think we should also break up the beekeepers group into clans that are for the extremely competitive gamers and the not so competitive. I definitly like the idea of having a beekeepers group with different factions.

I'm all for the two clan system...
I honestly don't see how creating the Beekeepers was an unfair or premature action.

Halfway through the game, I created a ( scratch that, the ONLY) 7th column chapter for ILB.
I then, after a week of consideration created the beginnings for the "Beekeeper" clan.
How was this on the spot? If you even read the threads I've made here and at the chapter and at B.net, you'll see I spent allot of time considering the clan and it's heirarchy. I Consulted and opened the damn clan to people here first anyway. After I got poor turnout, I opened it to the general ILB community.

So I honestly don't see how my clan was "unfair" or "On the Spot" other than the fact that I made it being a casual Unfictioner and a more frequent B.net-er Keeper, and a very infrequent IRCer, and that I opened the clan to all mediums.

-anyway thats just how i feel about it, I could be wrong-

-Back on track-
All for the coordinated clan idea. The founders of the clans (there should be no more than 3 or 4 max. should get into contact with each other NOW, and begin discussing plans for organization, and coordination, and whatnot.

It is a fairly large endeavour to coordinate the clans, but a very functional plan. A clan for everyone, a clan for the hardcore, a clan for those who fit no where else and a clan for whatever else we find to factionalize.

Clan leaders can coordinate in a councel style. More elaboration on that would have to be discussed between us.
We all work together, and it's fun to play together.

to be honest, I dont see how it was unfair either...

"I thought of it first" just doesnt cut it for me.

but anyways... I dont think we should be so hasty to exclude people like Professor Zoom. Like he said, there are plenty of people we dont know or recognize, who HAVE been following the story and playing along.

and really, how many people are there that know NOTHING about ilovebees and havent been playing along that are dying to join an ILB clan?

my gamertag is Rendon. I was there (#beekeepers) when this happened... Some people were pretty pissed because some guy said "This is the OFFICIAL ilb halo 2 clan." So this came around.

So im definitly in.

Oh yeah.

I was a lurker till a few weeks ago, called in to be a crew member this last tuesday... (no call for me Sad ) even when i was lurking I was still hardcore. Of course, who wouldn't wanna join a clan entitled Brain Ninja's?

Neways i should be back from gamestop at ~12:20 (central time) am tue nov 9... I can register the name if you want me to.

uh huh...

Well I never put the title "Official ILB CLAN" on the Beekeepers.
I put the Title of OFFICIAL on the 7th colum chapter wich several weeks later began hosting signups for the clan...

I suppose however it does not matter.

I would appreciate it if someone involved in the creation of this new clan can PM me here or on my AIM service. I would really hate for there to be a seperation of folks... if we can at least coordinate the two clans, it makes infinatly more sence.

Otherwise, for those still interested:

Signups are still open for "The Beekeepers", the first and general "ILBer" clan.
Just follow the link in my sig or Email me at "incitatus4@gmail.com" even IM me vai AOL @ incitatus4 or msn via "napa_2k@hotmail.com"

I claim no leadership other than the initiative to form the clan... Leadership positions will be descided on the 9th and 10th on XBL.
Positions will be based on skill level and repect within the community.
Organization into squadrens based on state or ILB members will take place on the 10th.
