There HAS to be a tta after this entry. I think it'd be some sort of crime if there isn't one directly addressing the events.

Also if Tim had his dick hanging out, Alex COULD have taken him down with just a stick..........

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
even though it was a pipe

Now that I think about it aside from the where Alex dropped the pipe bit...the footage we have of Brian being led on by Alex is from Alex's camera.

But as we can see here - we're seeing through 'Tim's Camera'. Alex still has one.

Now, I know it could easily be handwaved by saying 'he wasn't recording' and yes, it does look like he's turning it off before he warns Tim of the dangers of lead, but this is Alex we're talking about here, where is he hiding the footage from -his- camera of when he showed Tim why not to switch to a pipe if there is any footage to hide?

Mindless speculation I guess.

GGOA THEORY!

Tim was trying to feed Alex to the Operator. Alex knew that and he reversed it.

Tim was acting very shifty the entire thing and then when Alex saw the (X) I think he realized what was going on. Thus, he tried to turn the tables by knocking out Tim and leaving him for the Operator to "feed on" or whatever....since we are 56 entries in and still have no clue what the Operator DOES!

But yeah. My 2 cents.

I didn't get the impression Tim was being shifty. I think he was getting increasingly nervous around Alex because Alex seemed to be so unresponsive to the "location scouting."

Really? I thought for sure Tim was trying to act nonchalant because he was intentionally leading Alex to the Operator.

Wait, how did Tim get this tape to give to Jay? In this entry he's ....incapacitated? And in the entry with Brian being dragged off, we see a weak helpless Tim in the corner of a first floor room (annex?). But back with this entry, Alex didn't pick up the camera. So...Tim regains his strength and goes back upstairs to get the camera? I think that that would not be my first goal upon being strong enough to get the f* out of there. Unless evidence? But no one has ever contacted police or whatever in the series (that we know of). So...I'm confused. And I guess we're assuming Tim did not rewatch these prior to giving the tapes to Jay? Hrms.

The characters in this series appear to have a pathological need to film things. Even in entries 46 and 52, where Jay had the Operator right in his face and suchlike, he still didn't drop the camera and book it. He did so in 40, but that seems to have been the exception.

I thought the Operator looked GREAT in this Entry, actually. And the camera falling over in the breeze was very well executed.

But yeah, that did look and sound like a stick.

Tim: Upper floors.
Seth: Basement.
Bryan: Annexed building.

If that's the case then what on earth possessed Tim to crawl/stumble his concussed self out of the upper floors, down those rickety stairs, and through some woods to get to the annex building? A blanket and a not-so-comfy corner calling his name?

I'm not really arguing it, because the place in 51 did seem markedly different than this building (seemed more like 1 story with long walkways if I remember) but I'm just wondering if anyone has an explanation for this? Or would Alex have knocked Brian out and then hauled him over to the Main building?

I liked the entry, and I'm glad to see them confirming theories even if said theories were already heavily implied to be right, but I'd sort of rather them give us more concrete answers to questions we can't even really properly come up with an answer for yet. Or at least more information anyway. I really hope they aren't going to just be stating the "obvious" for the rest of the season.

Two sidenotes: apparently the Alex-becoming-a-huge-dick turning point happened sometime between 55 and 56, and also, could this possibly confirm the theory of the Operator symbol acting as a way to summon TO?

One more thing about the Tim being shady bit: might just be me but I got the impression that he was uncomfortable because Alex had turned into such a raging buttmunch lately and Tim was like what I'm just trying to help you why are you all mean and snippy

Maybe he lacks the delta brain-wave. Hmm...

I think that Alex deliberately misleading Jay is an excellent theory and we might be seeing it here again...

I think Tim gave Jay these tapes in hopes of confirming what personal experience(as seen in Season 2) has already told Jay. Solidifying Alex as the villain.

But what's really going on?

Guess it was just me that thought Tim was shady. I can see your point, but still...I don't know. Tim just seemed kinda sneaky in this one like not wanting to go to the other building or kinda stressing the basement.

Something I just noticed:

Tim: "I almost thought you had given up on this place since it's been so long since I told you about it"
Alex: "Yeah, stuff came up".

Does that mean that the majority of season 1 took place between this entry and the last one?

I like the idea of Tim giving these tapes to Jay to reinforce the "Alex is evil as shit, dude, seriously" message. I think Tim is very aware of exactly what's on these tapes, but perhaps he simply can't stand to watch them? I mean, it can't be easy watching yourself come under the thrall of a eldritch abomination and get beaten senseless by an acquaintance for said eldritch abomination.

I suspect that might be the case.

Getting less and less likely Tim doesn't remember this. His story implies he had a bunch of tapes, knew where they came from, didn't remember what happened on them, but never watched them and willingly gave them away.

Am I the only person who gets irritated when there's no commentary from Jay at the end? Yeah, he states the obvious, but it's cool seeing him piece everything together.

OOG:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I bet Tim came up with the idea of getting knocked out while pissing.
