Season 1 Revisited: the questions needing answers. Ok then, seeing how as of #56, it seems confirmed that a/the main theme of this Season will be that of revisiting Season 1 and answering some of the mysteries which were kind of left hanging in Season 2, I was wondering what questions people want answered most.
Here is my personal list
- What was up with the Gazebo from entry #5 and #9?
- What happened after the "Encounter" in entry #12?
- What was the importance of the house in #16 #18 and #22?
- What was up with Alex's "confession" in #22?
- What happened to Sarah? (as they brought the actress back for the trailer, it seems likely she will be back in some capacity for this season)
- What was Jay doing at the time all this hell was going down?
- Who was the guy in the Skull mask from the #26?

Re: Season 1 Revisited: the questions needing answers. The house is Brian's house (wasn't it?), and I'm guessing Tim was squatting there after Brian got slendernapped.
Skully isn't a person, it's a picture of a skull on someone's face for half a second.
All the other questions are pretty high up there for me as well

I asked this in a different thread, but this seems like the better one to do so.
Where in the timeline does #20 take place? They talk about Brian's painting in that one, and then Tim comes in popping pills, very sick, and moody. He didn't really seem like any of those things in Entry 56, wherein he is knocked out by Alex and presumably left to the Operator for later (once Brian finds him in 51, maybe).
So, I'm honestly just curious as to where that one goes. The other questions on this thread are definitely the important ones though. Brian's house was really important to TTA and to Tim, and at first it seemed like all of the weird activity was centered on that place.

I don't think Tim was strategically left for later by Alex. If that were the case, then the Operator would have taken him while he was, ya know...right there. :3 But I already said something about that in the post I put in the Entry #56 thread. It's weird how Tim was knocked out in the hospital, but found later in the annex.

Are we sure that that place was the annex? Isn't Seth next in the cycle of Alex's plot? He said Seth was on his way and Brian wasn't going to this outing. And Alex said he'd check out the annex with Seth.
I thought Brian was taken into the same building Tim was at a slightly later time.

Going by Alex's attitude and Tim's comment about it being June (Jay said the videos were shot in the summer), I'd say somewhere in the first month of filming. In relation to other videos - idk. The '06 footage timeline is something I'd really like to see cleared up.

There was something up with the Gazebo? I must've forgotten about that.

No, we're not sure that was the annex, but it couldn't have been the hospital in the most recent entry because the building in Entry #51 was one story, while the one in Entry #56 is three or four. It would make sense if it were the annex, too, because Alex said he would take Seth to go check it out, and then told Brian that he and Seth "found" it. Since Brian came the next day, Alex probably took Seth to the annex when he was supposed to come later, "disposed" of him, and then lied about him being "sick."

- What was up with the Gazebo from entry #5 and #9? - it was the location of one of the scenes in the movie, they were just filming there. its implied that the operator was nearby in entry 5
- What happened after the "Encounter" in entry #12? - we have no idea
- What was the importance of the house in #16 #18 and #22? - it was brians house
- What was up with Alex's "confession" in #22? - either slendy wiped his mind and alex truely didn't realize he sacrificed people, or alex was lying to make himself look innocent
- What happened to Sarah? (as they brought the actress back for the trailer, it seems likely she will be back in some capacity for this season) - we don't know, she was prohbably sacrificed at some point but i don't think they want to show alex knocking out a girl
- What was Jay doing at the time all this hell was going down? - probably getting sacrificed himself. alex clearly kept tapes of his sacrifices, so i don't think he would just give jay his own sacrifice videos.
- Who was the guy in the Skull mask from the #26? - nobody knows, they will probably never go back to it though. probably a member of totheark if anything

I think Skully is seth/brian(whoever isn't Hoodie)
My main guess would be seth, because hes a) the cameraman, therefore not in videos. b) a guy who can edit. c) He had the freakin tapes. d) It doesn't appear that anyone Alex sacrificed actually died(except Bruce)
Tim and Jay are both alive, Brian may be too, and seth could be as well.
This brings up the question of what happened to Sarah, Amy, and Jess.
Sarah- Everyone assumes that Sarah was sacrificed, or whatever, but maybe she just left? Maybe she got a bad vibe and moved on? She doesn't have to be attacked by alex to leave.
Amy- She's either against/running from alex, another puppet being used by slendy, or dead. Not too much that could be said about her as of now.
Jess- Possibly part of TTA. Alex wasn't there to kill/sacrifice her, so theres a very good chance she lived through the hotel. She could also be on the run from slendy too.

Maybe Sarah was too mad at Alex when he went off on her and Tim in #9. You never know.

Or Alex has already gotten to Sarah.

Am I the only one who got the impression that 'Skully' was just Tim wearing a slightly different mask

Also there's the matter of cameras and camera distortion. Slendy causes cameras (and perhaps other electrical equipment?) to go haywire, as does Tim when he's masked at times. I've always wanted to know why that is, but if we never get told why I would be alright with just chalking it up to another supernatural trait.
And do cameras hold some kind of significance? Recording is what allows the characters to keep records of events they forget due to Operator encounters. With Totheark's "smile for the camera" quip and the suggestion that cameras may actually *summon* the Operator (like in Entry 26 when Amy finds the old camera and shows it to a seemingly normal Alex and all hell breaks loose) might mean that cameras have some sort of significance beyond record keeping.
One more thing, since nothing's going on, what about teleportation? It's apparently shown to have happened multiple times in the series but has never really been addressed by anybody in the series. #23 has Jay going all over the place as he traverses the house, and time seems to rapidly pass as he enters in broad daylight and minutes later the house is dark as hell. #24 shows Jay entering doors but never coming out where he's supposed to.
Masky seems to teleport numerous times; there's the still-disputed potential instance of teleportation in 33 when he attacks Jay. People thought that the two of them moved down a pair of rooms and the door that was supposed to be joining Jay's room with Jessica's was actually turned into a teleporty-door into a DIFFERENT room (Tim's?).
Sorry, this was way longer than I thought it would be >>
Another potential discussion topic is the origin of the Operator symbol. Wonder if that'll be addressed?

I always took the audio and video distortion as sort of a Slendy defense mechanism. Since he's always wiping everyone's minds, in theory if no one had a camera to record him with no one would remember him at all. I'm guessing he doesn't want to be remembered so he has the ability to screw up the recording equipment.
A good example is entry 23 when Jay comes face to face with the Operator and he says afterward that his camera was broken
