Okay - I was looking for a new ARG to because of Extra Credits recent sync my teeth into - and I was looking forward to this game anyway.

Just an update for what happened Friday night.

The first Piece of code was worked out to be a list of assending primes - and then a counting down number - which counted down to Notch's birthday. (image of one of the frames. http://0x10cwiki.com/wiki/Arg_Triage .)

and then 1 hour after my last post - the data went away - and another hour later it came back different and changed. this new data was when translated using a similar method to the first produced images like this.

people on the #0x10c-arg IRC tried to change the resolution of the image noticing that there are blank lines in it and came up with something which looked like this:

the area after the white space being the primes from before the shutdown so people removed that data from the remaining data each line turned into numbers like this:

I missed this next but - but someone put did this code to replace the most common ones with the most common letters.

The people playing the game being science fiction geeks that they are they recognised some of the writing - despite it being put through a makov chain and noticed that it is "The Last Question" By Isaac Asimov. which you can read/listen to here:

and this is everything which is currently released in the ARG - Notch was being a very public puppet master at the end and said basically "You completed what I expected to take 3 to 4 days in 6 hours...well done." this was about 4am UTC.

Currently the power has gone down to 22% since nothing is happening (that we know of.) and people are waiting for notch to post something weird again. (Likely after the Minecraft 360 release interviews are done.)
