I'd be thinking that its for Chernobyl Diaries as well. Chernobyl means "wormwood." I feel like there's some relationship to that and the idea of "bitterroot"

OK, scratch that because Suspiria is still in production. I'm gonna say it's for "Chernobyl Diaries," which is out later this month from the Paranormal Activity people. The decaying backgrounds in the photos kinda look like the trailer for the film. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp9xuquibQc
I don't doubt that this could be a viral campaign for an upcoming film. The whole StumbleUpon thing really indicates that, and the whole phrase "What I found was disturbing" sounds an awful lot like a movie poster tagline.
However, from my experience with movie campaign-based ARG's such as the "1/18/08" ARG for the Cloverfield movie, studios like to start these campaigns months in advance in order to have the players build lots of hype and a cult following.
Respectfully, this Chernobyl Diaries movie seems more biological/zombie-esque (judging especially by the title card at the end of the trailer), and Chad's pictures elicit more cult-y witch-y vibes.
Who knows? I just can't wait for the 12th.

The video is now online, and, as you see, what I've said: Nothing at all. This were not an ARG.

but it was a bit of undergroundish "viral marketing" for this independent stuff! So it's kinda "argy"!

I think we're taking many precipitated ideas about this. It hasn't ended. It isn't confirmed that is viral marketing for that movie(actually, i still do not understand where this conclusion came from). According to Chad:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
UPDATE: We contacted Chris, the man who sold the box to Chad.
More info soon.
So...let's wait. Do not jump into conclusions.

Apparently nobody wants to discuss anything besides what it's for and if it's fake (really, nobody in this forum was saying it was real so why was that even discussed).
Either way, some things I noticed about the video.
-The robed person seems like they should notice the person doing the filming. But either they don't or they don't care.
-Was that like..a head in the bag at the end or something? It looked like hair, but. That's all I could really tell about it.
-Was that a baby at 3:04? Creepy.
Anyone else want to actually discuss the content of the video instead of what it's for/the fact that it's fictional?

OK, I'm game.
I noticed that when the cowled figure was sitting at the table, the large white "package" at their feet was rocking back and forth. It looked too big to be the package that the figure drops into the ditch at the end of the film.
And yes, that is a baby, in an incubator no less. What I thought was weird was that the incubator looked rather modern, considering this film seems to be giving the impression that it's vintage... Even incubators from the 50's looked considerably different than the new ones.
And the package in the ditch was a human head with long hair.
Bitterroot is a flower, and also a mountain range/valley/river in the general area of Montana (and whether or not this has anything to do with the film, who knows!)
To me the whole thing has a very "witchy" feel to it - the kind where a witch captures children to fatten them up and eat them later...^^

Yeah, the mysterious figure defiantly gives off that creepy witch vibe. Like some old lady all the local kids say is a witch and turns out she is. One of those stories.
Honestly, I don't even know what to speculate about yet. Not much to go by in the video except that it's pretty eerie.
