When HABvan jumps off/over the log at the end does it sound like he says, "Green light" to anyone else?

Running with the game theory, if it's "green light" then it could be that game where the person turns there backs and yells green light and all the kids start going up to tag the person, and when they face you they state "red light" and everyone has to stop... Just a thought.

Just went back and listened to that part a few times with headphones and it sure sounds like that's what he says...for what it's worth.....

I always thought he said "see ya later" but "green light" would be very interesting none the less".

.... And considering the ghost of Corenthal in the lot, doesn't anybody connect that to the image of the guy Jeff saw in Evan's house? exact same thing if you ask me...

Or it could be that the rocking horse triggered a memory considering it has odd powers that it could rock itself has seen in "Hidden Cameras and Email"

EDIT: Just went back and checked and possibly I am right... In "The Corenthal Connection" when the boys see the doctor the screen goes black and white & SAME THING in "Dead End With A Pulse" when Jeff encounters the guy that Evan killed.

Idunno. I'm still mulling over the "dream" description. It's still kinda sending up lots of little red flags; he saw something that could easily have been an iteration or alternate future, he couldn't move, Linnie was faceless even looking right at her, he could only observe...
But don't ask me what I'm thinking because I don't know. I just can't stop fixating. lol

I like the iteration possibility more, but I think the newest letter might be intended to suggest that Linnie fell forward in time before she died--that would explain why none of the Inn staff recognized her when Corenthal inquired. Also, had the school fallen into disrepair by 1990?

Well... she didn't look to be dressed in any way that would suggest that she was time displaced. I remember 90's fashion, those jeans were way too dark... she wasn't wearing a plaid shirt that was 12 sizes too big for her... or a vest... or multicolored socks...

Corenthal is the slenderman.

That's a great point; the Linnie from "Cops Checked" was definitely dressed like a 21st century woman. I'm willing to write that off as either the lack of a wardrobe budget or (meta) a change in the story's direction since the video was made. (Also, had flannels hit by 1990? I don't remember them being a thing until a little later, maybe around the release of "Nevermind".)

EDIT: I don't have a big problem with the jeans, as I'm pretty sure I had some in that shade around that time. But did hoodies even exist at all then? An Esprit sweatshirt probably would have been more appropriate, were she time-displaced.

Was there ever any discussion of that body being Jessa? I came into this late, and when my friend and I watched it with "fresh eyes" at the time, our first thought collectively was it had to be her, the age would have been about right, as we thought it was a younger female. It's at least possible. I know Jeff "should" have recognized her if it was her, but if she could have been wearing something he wouldn't have drawn a connection to. With her missing, and Jeff searching for leads on her, I always found it strange that he didn't look to see that it definitely WASN'T her. Then again, Snoopy showed up right about then, and I've been consistently wrong throughout my entire time here about everything, so what do I know? I feel like Corbin Bernsen must have felt like in Celebrity Mole at this point.

Somewhere - in one of the livestreams maybe? - Jeff confirmed that although the camera couldn't see Dead Girl's face, he and Vinnie could, and it wasn't Jessa.

Perfect. Thank you for clearing that up. I'm still batting a thousand!

I should state that Who Could Win a Rabbit creeps me out immensely because of EverymanHYBRID. I keep expecting a guy with a rabbit mask to jump into my room and stab me yelling "RABBIT OR A HABIT, HABIT OR A RIB?" over and over again.

That is all.

I'm going to throw my hat into the Corenthal=Slendy basket. Something about it just feels right. The phantom tweets, the dream thing. It seems plausible that many Slendy appearances could be the Doctor's dream-self, which is often motionless and appears and disappears. He could even be responsible for inserting some of the hidden footage. He is still protective of his four children, and is either antagonistic twoards others or was framed for all the attributed deaths by HABIT. This tree just sprung up for me so I wanted to try and explain it.

Also, the video game thing seems ludicrous to me. First of all, video games haven't been around that long, especially the ones everyone is talkling about. It doesn't seem like something that universe cycles could be based on. Second, the elements that seem to relate to video game logic are likely the result of influences on the writers by video games. I can see where this theory is coming from, but it doesn't have a lot of basis to me.

Has Corenthal been Slendy all along? The two have had oblique interactions. Corenthal collect a bit... of himself? Of his dreamself? Of his futureself projected into the past?

What you have there is a chicken and egg situation. Who said that the universal cycle was based on video games? Maybe we based video games on the universal cycle, unconsciously mimicking it.

I think that, in order to proceed with the video game theory, we need to create a set of rules and roles for this game that we're playing. For example, who is playing? Are we playing? Is HABIT playing?

I remember reading someone mentioning the + looked a bit like a dagger (can't remember who said it, apologies I should go back and find out >.>) and GF now has one. And the last trial was 'Keep your body breathing'...not theirs. So perhaps the message was less + 7 and more...vs 7? (Again I apologize if this sounds stupid because there's a good chance it does.)

Well, I did say that the "+" looked like a knife/dagger a few pages back, but I don't know if I was the first one to say it.

It makes me wonder, though, what the significance of the knife that GF found in the stash is...
