Just something that's bothering me. At about 5:00 Jay asks Tim about the annex and Tim says (pretty much to himself) "Why would I have brought that up?". I don't know why, but I can't make that line fit in with everything else, if you know what I mean. There's missing information and then there's something that feels so inconsistent that there must be something else behind it.

Tim asked himself why he had brought that up because he feels so uncomfortable with the building for some reason, that he's not able to imagine why he would have put the thought of going there into anybody's head. The missing information of which you speak, inevitably, is what makes Tim feel so skittish about the aforementioned building.

Bro, that "waddle" of which you speak scared the living hellsh out of me. I'm surprised people made fun of it to the extent they did; that rigid estatic movement was as creepy as heck to me, but I guess I'm amongst the few that thought that.

Also, something I noticed about this entry:

No knife. I thought it would end up going back to Tim somehow again. But it didn't. So that's poop.

Oh, I'm being a fool! Tim didn't bring it up, Alex did, and Tim forgot. Duh.

Tim: "I'm not dead yet."

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Tim dies, calling it now.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I watched the deleted Entry #37 in the dark.

I didn't want to turn the lights back on when I was finished for fear of what I would see in the room with me. I found it that unsettling.

Repeated viewings have killed the creep factor for me, but you never forget your first.

We discussed this over in the "end of Marble Hornets" thread or whatever, but I'm in the There-Is-No-Way-Tim-Will-Die camp. A big part of season three was to significantly develope his character more from where he were left off with him in the previous seasons, and besides that, he's the only relatively mentally stable person that Jay is in close contact with right now. If he dies, Jay is on his own once again, and I feel like that would retard plot development. He might die, but I wouldn't count on it. If it happens, I won't be a happy camper, and not out of sentiment either. It would just be a cheap way of trying to set a darker mood, or something.

I think the main reason they made Tim state that remark in this entry was to indicate that he really isn't doing that well in contrary to what he said in Entry #53. He might be improving a little bit, but he's definitely not "okay."

Yay, so I'm not alone after all.

Still don't get why Jay won't just show Tim what was on the tapes. Tim definitely remembers something going down in the Annex, and Jay lying to him and leading him in there is a surefire way to get Tim to think he's going to pull a Kralie.

Two weeks for this though? I feel like I could have shot this in an afternoon once the script was written. I guess they were busy with finals and stuff.

I was shitting myself when I saw it was 13 minutes, but it was mostly filler (my defiinition of filler is something that doesn't advance the plot, and most of this entry was just Jay getting a glimpse of what we've seen already for himself first hand, Tim didn't really add anything new that we didn't know), thank god we're about to have a location change cause the hospital and annex are really getting played out. The hoody part was kind of neat, because he doesn't appear that often, but the first few minutes of this entry felt redundant. And I can't stand when Jay points out the obvious for us (such as "the hooded figure seems to be that guy that appeared before" - anyone who actually watched the series knows this, babys who can't pay attention shouldn't deserve things pointed out to them. It's like lost, you knew things tied in but they didn't explain it, and it made it that much cooler when you did realize it.)

Hoody almost has to be confirmed as totheark at this point: he knows what Jay wants answers to and he's leading him there. Looking forward to the next entry, I can see things are starting to pick up finally.

BTW, the courtyard Tim pointed out looks really similar to the forest alex walked in in 43, at least when i first saw it thats what i thought of.

So yeah, even though I think this entry was filler, I still enjoyed it. Don't twist my words.

....and the plot thickens.

Man, Jay is not really cut out for this investigating thing, is he? I can understand not wanting to reveal everything he knows to Tim just yet, in case Tim is leading him on and gets aggro-Masky on him/really has no memory and the information causes him to freak out and become useless, but Jesus. I could think of like ten opportunities for some well-worded questions that could have gotten some information out of Tim. This is assuming, of course, that Tim really has lost his memory. Which is what Jay seems to be doing. It does make sense, in a way. After all, Jay was subject to memory loss as well, and so it would make sense for him to see this as a very real possibility. We non-Slenderfied viewers, on the other hand, tend to be more suspicious.

It is interesting, though, from a storytelling point of view, that it's very hard to determine who's leading who. Either:

1. Jay is the idiot and Tim's manipulating him by letting Jay think he (Jay) is in charge ("EEW that building? You don't want to go into that building"),
2. Tim really doesn't remember anything and Jay, despite his less-than-inquiring mind, is leading Tim around to the best of his ability, or
3. Neither of them have any idea what's going on.

Also yay for Hoody's return. And Hoody seems to be...male? Yes?

You really want to kick that hornet's nest with a forum that can barely agree Hoody is wearing a hoody?

Hoodie has to be male, Tim, Troy, and Joseph have all body doubled for Hoodie, and if Hoodie was a chick, I think a chick would have body doubled instead

Late for the party, once again... Well, not much I can say at this point. Great entry, really liked both Tim and Troy's acting.

I'm not saying I want him to die, I just detected an immense amount of foreshadowing there.

Tim's character development could be happening so that if he does die, we'll actually care. I've honestly been waiting for a reason to care. This could all be buildup.
It's not about setting a darker mood, for me. From my perspective, Tim's death would turn into much-needed character development for Jay. Tim is, as you say, the only other voice of reason close to Jay; Tim's death would likely have a large impact upon him, and would rudely awaken Jay to the fact that what he got himself into is extremely dangerous. From there, Jay would have to find the will to keep moving, and then prepare accordingly for the task at hand.
You can argue that Brian and Seth fulfill this purpose, but I don't think it does. Jay wasn't actually present when all of that happened; an actual death, witnessed and confirmed by Jay, is what needs to happen here.
It also gives Jay a good excuse to be doing all of this entry stuff, and would provide a better reason for him to see it through to the end.
Yeah, Jay wouldn't have a sane companion anymore, but it's starting to look like that's going to be the outcome anyway, with Tim's attitude in this last entry.

My two cents.

EDIT: Of course, this is just me assuming Troy and Joseph are good writers, which they've said they aren't. But go figure.

Not all girls are noticeably busty, and hoodies can be baggy enough to hide your chest.

That said, yeah, Hoody's most likely a guy.

@LegoAlchemist:

Yeah, that makes sense, but I really hope they don't fridge any characters, especially someone as story important as Tim. Sara and Jessica already have it bad enough (although not as bad as some of the EverymanHYBRID characters, jfc).

It was not a serious question. I was poking fun at the debates, in which every person ever to appear in MH was offered up as the obvious candidate for Hoodiness, and supporters vehemently swore the body type matched exactly.

This entry had some pretty interesting points.

1. Right before hoodie walks out, Jay was saying that he didn't really know Alex that well. I always thought they were fairly good friends, enough for Jay to have been able to convince him to give him those tapes. Huh. That's kinda interesting. I guess Jay truly has no friends then?

2. Tim mentioning that the annex was made of "hallways upon hallways". -House of Leaves reference?

3. Tim seemed pretty pissed by the end of the entry. Was he just unnerved by Jay's behavior, or was he getting a sense of deja vu from wandering around the annex? (assuming Timnesia is genuine)

4. Hoodie is pretty fricking chill. It's almost unnerving how calm he/she is.
