#55 shows that Tim has had those issues for a while. He even mentioned having those same issues when he was younger. How much younger, it really doesn't say.

Yeah, but if it's not operator enduced then it's a red herring, and one that they keep bringing up, and if they were to reveal that tim's memory loss was due to something else completely unrelated to the operator, it would be a throwaway plot device that would deteriorate tim's story

Hi, this is my first post, nice to meet you, etc.

So I finally decided to make an account on here, mostly because no one pointed out something that I noticed on my first viewing of this entry.

It's nothing really important, just something I thought was kind of cute.

At ~8:30, there's a little doodle of Slendy. You can notice that it's right next to the first "complete" Operator symbol that is shown. Just something I thought was funny.

I'm fairly certain it's not supposed to be Slendy.

But it's still hilarious sitting next to an Operator symbol. XD

On the "Tim has psychological issues" note, I'm going to agree that they probably have always been Operator related. After all, Rosswood is totally the Operator's "secret hideout". =P

Eh, I can sort of see legs, one arm bent at the elbow sort of "pointing" to the symbol, and another on the other side... And of course the blank face. It obviously doesn't mean anything, but I kind of feel like it was put in there just for kicks.

Anyway, I'm just looking forward to what happens in the next Entry. Jay tweeted about possibly telling Tim what's happening, so...

Still gonna bet on him being a derp and going to that place at night.

they make it a point to point the camera at things for a second or two if you're supposed to notice them, the only "hidden easter eggs" that i can even think of are hoody in 42 and masky in 52 in the window

random grafitti that is not clearly a picture of anything is not canon

unfiction syndrome is seriously insane sometimes

Yeah, but it's all in good fun. I can kind of see Slendy on the door...don't think it's canon and don't think it means anything, but I guess it's just fun to look at. The only thing that really annoys me in terms of what Unfiction Syndrome germinates is that people sometime insist on their theories despite the fact that there's both IG and OOG conformation that disproves it.

after watching TT yesterday i had a theory that the operator symbol means 'do not film'

jay didn't film anything for an entire year and the operator left him alone. same with alex.

perhaps drawing the symbol is a way of reminding yourself not to start filming because it will lead to his arrival

also: http://twitpic.com/31g2ab

can't consider this a good theory myself until i make a list of all the locations of the symbol and see how it ties in

Interesting thought, but then again Alex drew plenty of Operator symbols and fixed them to his walls, yet he continued to film. It could be he was so far gone that despite his best efforts he was still compelled to film.

I dunno. Every time I try to make sense of Marble Hornets I wind up confusing myself. Confused

Ah, it's far too late at night over here! All I can think of is Slendy and Alex playing tic-tac-toe and Alex, realizing he's about to lose, draws a symbol that's both an 'X' and an 'O'. Slendy flips the table and starts to slenderize Alex. And a series is born.

MY GOD. It all makes sense.

Yeah, but since it establishes that he had prior history, and Alex appears to have been stalked as a child by the Operator too, it's most likely Operator induced, but back when they weren't filming it.

I don't know, I like to think that, maybe, his initial mental instability was the fault of general mental illness, and the whole student film Operator fiasco just caused his condition to reach an extreme.

I mean, think about it, if you were a mental health patient for some sort of fairly common, but manageable mental illness, wouldn't it be particularly horrifying to lose that sense of "I can manage this and function" and suddenly go off the deep end? I mean, it would be terrifying for anyone, but particularly, I would think, for someone who has a bit of experience with mental instability to begin with.

This. I've been suspecting this for a while, to the point that every subsequent viewing of 26 makes it seem more and more obvious. It really explains how disturbed Alex seems to get when Amy finds the camera.
This may be a bit of a stretch but hear me out. Suppose that maybe if the Ops is captured on a camera a bit of him get imprinted into it. It would be how something like an old birthday tape could suddenly have pretty clear footage of him spliced into it.

I don't buy this theory because it doesn't really explain why Alex repeatedly draws the symbol on the paper as he films himself doing it. (The crazy drawings on paper need some kind of explanation themselves, of course. Off the top of my head he's taken to drawing what he dreams about so that he doesn't forget. If that's the case then it must suck to be Alex.) If he didn't draw the symbols I think I could get behind this theory.
