At this point, little can be said about the entry. Regarding some theories I outline some details.

All trash and graffiti new, is crazy to attribute to Tim, TTA or Hoody ... not forget that the previous videos located in this place, it is assumed they were recorded years ago, and certainly at this time, the hospital has been visited by many curious, young idle, vagabonds, yonkis ... This also justifies the calm reaction of Tim seeing the guy hooded, not recognized and could be anyone. The existence of a security guard is also justified for this reason, not to protect the building from vandalism, but rather to avoid accidents involving legal responsibilities and ultimately financial cost to the owner.
OOG, it seems that this building (of which there are hundreds of pictures and videos on the Internet) will be torn down soon, maybe the "X" appearing everywhere relate to this, or may not...

Rooms with multiple doors give an answer to how Tim fled when he was found by Brian and appeared Slendy.

The tunnel, I do not think that lead to the another building, could lead to the basement we know, but in this case, is not the same basement of the main building, since it would have been easier to lead Jay to the stairs. Nor is it likely that two buildings of this size they share the boilers.

Tim's limp at the end of the entry. I think that just because he is forcing the pace. Over time his leg has improved, but not to the point of running normally.

snip

In defense of the bottle/gas can they could have been there for years, unchanged since they're made of plastic. Cigarette butt, not so much. (Although perhaps Tim came here just before he brought Jay, to make sure there was nothing obviously incriminating hanging around.) Also on the water bottles: both Alex and Tim had water bottles in Entry #17, and either one of them could have had the water bottle in Brian's house. Gah!

While I'm not denying the water bottle and cigarette connection to Tim, I don't think that was intended to be a specific clue. Tim already stated that it was a semi-popular spot for urban explorers and those are two very common items you'll find littered about in such places.

To completely abuse Freud, sometimes discarded empty bottles of water are just discarded empty bottles of water.

True, but I was being exceptionally nitt picky for the hell of it. Razz

I know, but it's a mental hospital.

Think about it. Tim visits a mental clinic on a regular basis, and mental hospitals are usually hotspots for our buddy Slendy.

In most mythos, that is.

Yeah, but The Operator is only loosely based on the Slenderman mythos created on the SA forums. The Operator in Marble Hornets tends to act a bit different from most others. You really can't bring that knowledge into this and expect it to follow the same rules. There is no basis in the MH universe that the Operator hangs out in mental hospitals. Therefore, you can't say that for sure that the abandoned hospital in the MH universe is a mental hospital. It could very well have been a sanatorium, which is not an insane asylum, it's a hospital that mostly treated patients with TB. One such sanatorium is the famous Waverly Hills Sanatorium.

Of course, due to the relative newness feel of the structure, I would say about mid 70s to early 80s is when it was built, and most likely just a regular hospital that serviced several surrounding small towns.

@twistedpuppet: I am aware of that, but the distinction was irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

Razz I know. I just wanted to be really really annoyingly nittpicky. I was bored.

It's surprising to me that this thread is pretty much dead already, when the one for Entry #56 got many more comments despite the fact that the actual entry was arguably less informative. Or less liked, from a sentimental point of view.

Is there nothing else we can talk about? Nothing? Perhaps predictions for future entries, like what Jay will find in the tunnel? Maybe a corpse. Yum.

there is a season 3 speculation thread for that

they aren't giving us anything to work with, everything from seasons 1 and 2 have been discussed thoroughly enough where no new discoveries can be made

i know you joined unfiction really late and all, but you gotta understand we have discussed every entry for tens of pages, there's really nothing more to talk about. at this point all we can do in theorize but we really don't have enough info to form good theories

i fully expect this topic to devolve into slender dick jokes because that's just what people find funny i guess

My analysis of the operator:

the operator encounters end with him paralyzing his victim in some fashion, and then having his way with them for a moment. he then erases the encounter from their mind and teleports away to his lair (oh god the thought of the operator spending his time in a lair by himself freaks me out more than anything)

after being "operated on," a person begins "sleepwalking" in a sense and sort of autopilots themself. they "wake up" (fully regain consciousness) later on with no recollection of anything happening

i think it's safe to say that the operator is a fully conscious being (judging from entry 45, he knows when alex is in danger), so it's safe to say that he was able to detect that jay was trying to fight him in entry 52. he has the power to erase encounters from people's minds, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was furious that jay had the gall to attack him and wiped the past 7 months of his life just for being an inconvenience

The stages of slender sickness (corruption) get worse with each operation.

his initial presence: decrease in body temperature, coughing
beginning stages of corruption: headaches, paranoia, insomnia
progression of corruption: intense coughing, memory loss
fully corrupted: coughing up blood, severe anger and helplessness, loss of sanity

It would be reasonable to assume that the operator has a way of destroying one's insides slowly in some fashion, most likely starting with their lungs. The whole "are you drowning" totheark video could represent the feeling that someone feels when they're near the operator - that of their lungs collapsing.

In the next post I will address my outlook on the progression of the events we've seen thus far
