Finally I contributed something, although completely useless- haha

Here are some words that Sunny had left over and the possible connections:
(already mentioned by "guest" above, thought I would put it in one place)
Food=Diner (for Aglaura Diner){backwards above Burlington)
Beersheeba=Package Goods
Park=Grove (for Diana's Grove Park or Ash Grove Park){up/down, 2 letters above the G in grove}
Weird=Emporium {backwards, 5 rows up from Burlington}
And I think maybe we are supposed to circle Del Doyle for cranberries. Books and Antiques maybe for Hollow Needle. There are no other book/antique stores listed (that I can find). **Except the library DUH!
All the above can be found somewhere at the Aglaura site.

We worked this out on CD. All in all it was inconclusive however.

Well now you tell us
But why is Ong's Hat equal to Weird and not Emporium equal to Weird for Emporium of the Weird?

At first I was thinking that the stories of Ong's Hat would constitute it being rated as weird. Hadn't seen the word emporium until it was pointed out to me by MaggieMae.
Hence the correction.
That leaves Ong's Hat unused, unless it goes in the place of Grove when it comes to the word park. Which would leave Park free to be a clue together with DP, to point towards DP Hunter from Ash Grove Park.
Like I said.. Inconclusive..

Well, you got me thinking-uh oh!!. There has to be more to this puzzle than meets the eye.
Ong's Hat is left out for a reason. All other words in the puzzle are associated with the list of words, except for Ong's Hat.
__________=Ong's Hat, if using the same "code" as the rest of the puzzle.
I did a search on Ong's Hat Park and found this site (now closed), but it's first post is from Matheny- our author of the book "Ong's Hat:The Beginning". The post talks about this diner in Ong's Hat named the Anacapa Diner. Don't know how it helps, probably nothing. Just thought I would throw it out there.
**It's actually called Anapa's Restaurant and here are the directions:
Anapa's Restaurant, Ong's Hat, New Jersey - Home of the $2.99 cheeseburger special (with french fries) - From the west, take I-295 to the rt. 38 east exit. Take rt. 38 east. After crossing rt. 206, make a right at first light onto Magnolia Road. Stay on Magnolia for apprx. 3miles, Anapa's will be on the right. From the east and south, take the quickest route to the Four Mile Circle (rt. 70 & rt. 72). Head north on Magnolia Road. Anapa's will be apprx. 1 mile up on the left.

I just may have to take a trip out there this weekend. I don't have the kids or the husband (army stuff) Anyone else want to go?

Puzzle page replys Wow, I finally posted a message and come back to find all this! I feel like I finally contributed to the game (even if it turns out to be another red herring).
