Although we're still in need of 2 people, we've gone ahead & nominated the pawns for both sides, with a double-up (of one of the other pieces) for each side. If we get more people offering to be a pawn, we'll simply swap them out for the double up. But we wanted to get things moving again.

So with this in mind, the Pawns for Innocence are (these are FB names):

Richard Wyrick
Zeke Summers
Roger Porter
Danae Roberts
Latent Moths
Comp Jones
Argatha
Larissa Jones

***listed was edited because Octe's FB & G+ accounts had somehow been added to both lists. Octe is now on Experience & Argatha joins the Innocence team***

.......

Wow! i missed a lot!! EITHER WAY! Something came in the mail for me today. a white envelope containing:

-a puzzle (which i am about to go do far away from my cats)
-one finger of a blue nitrile glove
-a 6 side with the O(1) and 4 side painted red and 2,3,5,6 painted blue
-a sheet of paper containing a variety of different things, which i will scan shortly
-a red dotted lined notebook paper which i'm about to go pour lemon juice on
-1971 2 pence coin featuring elizabeth II, which i'm also about to go scan!

Be back in a moment! .....then i'm going to go read all the pages i missed in my absence....

me again!

......waiting for scanner... it's mothers..

ok so i'm looking through the text block paper first and in red letters it says PIETRO RADILLO.

In underlined letters, backwards it says THE PUPPETEER.

The entire thing, backwards says: THE DIFFICULTY IS MUCH AUGMENTED BY THE FACT THAT THE SE PIECES ARE RARELY CONSECUTIVE, BUT LITERALLY DISIECTI MEMBRA POEATE, SCATTERED THROUGH VARIOUS NOTEBOOKS IN A WAY TO REQUIRE PIECING TO GET HER AS WELL AS DECIPHERING

In italics it says: FIND THE SITE ON NET

In green, backwards it says: HARENG SAUR (smoked hering)

The word hering was the first word i found in this when i looked at it, but not the green one. the hering part of deciphering in the very beginning. At least it's not a red herring? ...hopefully. XD

Ok, going to go do lemon juice and scanning@!!!!

Also ok, so my work is weird and we rotate positions, so i'll be semi-available between 2-10 today if someone needs to talk to me, because today and tomorrow, i'm at a Post with a computer!

Here!
<a>Photobucket</a>

DISIECTI MEMBRA POEATE, i just googled, and it means "limbs of a dismembered poet" and commonly refers to Horace

Ok. Shoot. So i probably should've tried a magnet first BEFORE the lemon juice... but the point is that the lemon juice and lighter didn't work, so i'm a little bit.. worried.. about the notebook paper. I'm going to let it dry.. and i'm going to go do the puzzle.. because i can't ruin a puzzle..

edit time:
OH MY SWEET MADNESS! I just opened the puzzle and the child in me in FREAAAAKING OUUUT! It's got something written on the back, which i will find out momentarily in between whacking my head on the desk, but the front changes! I need my glass cutting board!!

edit edit:
ok, just a heads up, i'm sorting the pieces into pieces with writing on the back, edge pieces and blank pieces and then i'm going to assemble it. i have an hour and a half, which is plenty of time or i will stab myself. i'm going to take pictures of it when i'm done or if possible, slap the whole thing on the scanner. or take a video since it's holographic..

edit edit edit:
it's apparent right now i don't have all the pieces, so did anyone else get one!?

edi edit edit edit... my housemate is forcing me to go eat.. so i may have to leave the puzzle until 10pm..

Puzzle time!

Ok, so i got a puzzle, and it's part of a puzzle, and is the bottom right hand corner, depicting the mad hatter with writing on his hat, and a 5 of spades missing the upper left spade, making it a 4..

There's a running pattern of 4 +/- 1, like with the glove having 4 fingers and 1 thumb and the dice having only the 1 and 4 in red.

In through the Looking Glass, there are four attendants at the mad tea party, which are the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the Dormouse and alice. this puzzle has a central picture that's lifting away and the middle could be the queen or something, i dunno. there's roses and a card from what i can tell.. But there's also that whole something looks like it was written across the middle that we have to combine.

In TTLG, they also have the twinkle twinkle little bat thing, more bats. Oh right i haven't written down the translation on the back.

"The bat that flits at close of eve" from a William Blake thing..
http://www.bartleby.com/41/356.html

......and then i realized that i could just scan the puzzle and save trouble...

EDIT:!

i found the puzzle..

Coffee It certainly is intriguing, argatha. And, Que Beast, THX so much for sharing your package pics in such a beaut way. btw: The ROT25 code on the back of Rory's puzzle could be worked into an English anagram so maybe yours will, also.

anytime! And oooh, anagrams, i'm on it!!! ...in the morning.. not this morning, later morning. but either way... on it!

oh right, i also never included the writing on the coin. around the front it says: D G REG F D 1971 ELIZABETH II on the front. back says: new pence 2 and then the ribbon on the crown and feathers says ICH DIEN, but there's a well placed by purpose or accident scratch after ICH that makes it look like ICHI. Very even with the rest of it.

This is only funny to me because i was literally googling Ichi the Killer for a friend yesterday.

Que, I got the same package you did. I'm getting ready to head to bed, but if I wake up with enough time before I have to go to work, then I'll scan everything; otherwise, you'll have to wait until tomorrow morning. I haven't put my part of the puzzle together yet, either. I'll get on that as soon as I can.
Also, if you hold the piece of lined paper up to the light you can sort of see an image on it, so there is definitely something there.

Edit: I should also note that my two pence piece is shiny and new, dated 2001.

....i should probably clear up now that i live in a room with terrible lighting.. so when i didn't see an image, i poured lemon juice on the paper and exposed it to a match.. and may or may not have through that trashed my notebook paper.

Package in the mail today!

http://photobucket.com/sotl_pietro

Them's the pictures just thus far. I'll update that album as I toy with things.

My die also has a red-painted 1 and 4, blue 2, 3, 5, and 6. (Aside: My puppy just tried to eat the die from my hand while I was playing with it, which implies to me that someone needs a little playtime...)

The letter-code-paper-thing looks identical to Que's. I haven't opened up the puzzle bag yet, will add those photos to the bucket and update here as I toy around.

I can't see anything on my notebook paper, even holding it to light. Well, I start to think maybe I see something, and then I'm not certain if I'm seeing things or something's actually there. Not sure what to do with it just yet.

Will assemble the puzzle and take some pictures Smile

EDIT: Video of contents!
