I liked this one. I think Tim needed to get his eyes opened before the story went on any deeper, and god knows Jay wasn't going to lay everything out well enough for Tim.

I think some folks who are asking why Jay doesn't stand up to Tim better are forgetting something. Jay is a string bean, and Tim is basically a stunt double for Wolverine. Tim would ROLL Jay, and Jay knows it.

I get the feeling that Tim had *just* finished watching the entries when he called Jay for the meet up. Like, he was pacing the floor, youtube still on as he was dialing jay's number.

"That's why I woke up with a concussion?!"

"THAT"S HOW MY LEG WAS BROKEN!?"

And he wouldn't want to discuss Masky. He's trying to forget Masky even exists, so he'd not bring it up at all. Think about how you'd feel if you had missing chunks of memory, and find out you turn into Gollum when you blank?

That said, once the initial anger dissipates, Tim's coming back. He's not going to let it keep happening, he's going try and fix it. And jay needs that kind of "Get off your ass and let's DO something about this nonsense!" prodding.

this was really good. I'm so glad to see so much of Tim. He can keep me interested/act much better than Alex. I wonder if Tim will eventually relent and tag along with Jay on his quest.

He asked him if he remembered any tall people in business suits hanging around the set. In absolutely no way can that be interpreted as Jay dragging Tim back into the situation.

Yes, it can. Watch, I'll show you. Smile

Alex disappeared. Tim was out of it, and it was effectively over. Along comes Jay, stirring things up, conducting interviews and bringing up the past. Tim was out of it, then Jay wanted to talk to him about Marble Hornets...

Whether Tim is/was in control as Masky and is lying or it's an amnesiac bubble or a dual personality, he wasn't involved in anything before Jay called him up and wanted to ask questions about Marble Hornets. He was out of it.

You're forgetting that Tim agreed to that interview beforehand, it's not like Jay just showed up at his doorstep and started asking vague questions about businessmen. The fact that totheark was posting videos before the interview ever took place, and Masky was almost certainly a part of totheark, makes it very difficult to see Jay as dragging Tim into anything.

Now, I personally believe that Tim was in one state of mind while doing that interview, and in another when he set up that ambush for Jay - albeit one where he retained knowledge from "normal Tim". But it still means that Tim is by no means innocent here, and little or no blame can be put on Jay. He's been mostly along the ride for... well, everything really. Which is one of the criticisms of Jay that totheark has voiced in the past. Lack of proactivity. Most of Jay's progress has been led and pushed along by other entities, whether that be Alex or Tim.

Dat Rage.

Feels bad man.

On a serious note, I've been touristing around Hiedelberg all damn day, and I couldn't get this entry out of my head for more than 5 minutes.

Bravo Tim. Fucking bravo.

I absolutely loved this entry, but honestly, what did Jay think was going to happen? Even if he had been the one to explain the situation to Tim, what was Tim gonna say?
"OH! That explains all that time! A faceless man in a business suit? Makes perfect sense! This completely excuses your bizarre, erratic behavior! And stalking me was completely appropriate! Can I help you with your crusade to make up for my masked escapades?"

Holy crap that was an awesome entry. Such a change from the suspense building most entries are known for. When Tim greeted Jay with a fist and calling him a lying piece of shit I almost lost it...

I first knew something was up when Tim slammed shut his car door. That was definitely an angry car door slam.

Also, with the punch? J both deserved and needed that.

Does anyone find it interesting, that, if Tim is telling the truth, there has been no recent Operator sighting and no Operator symptoms(except for Tim's cough of course) in the series since Jay tackling the Operator in the hotel?

And that Tim's last appearance as Masky was when he tried to get Jay in the hotel?

Holy crap. You're right. There, chronologically, hasn't been any Slendy activity in over year.

I'm not entirely sure. Don't quote me on this, since I don't have the season 2 DVD, but wasn't the Operator or his shadow supposed to be just barely visible behind Jessica in her room in Entry #30 or one of the ones when we see inside Jessica's room? Seem to remember reading that, but not entirely sure which entry it referred to.
I wouldn't count him out completely just yet.

I thought we determined that to be a lamp...

The thing to take here is Tim is not TTA. Or at least not ask of late. Masky has been targetted though. That much is apparent.

Oh man. Such a great entry. I really felt for both of them and Tim's rant hit me right in the feelings. Poor Tim.

Anyways, I'm starting to wonder if Jay really is the problem, or if his persistence is the problem. I mean out of all the people in Marble Hornets, he seems to be having the least amount of problems. Sure he's had his share of amnesia and whatnot, but...Alex: Murderer/disappeared Tim: Timnesia/Masky Brian: Disappeared/could be Hoody. Seth: Disappeared/could be Hoody. Jessica: Disappeared. Just something I think about.

I think this entry debunks the theory that Tim/Masky was working WITH TTA, though he may still have been working FOR him/them or have been manipulated by them.

I mean, we've seen NO evidence that Masky is a fully-developed personality or a stable and lucid enough persona to actually work WITH anyone.

I agree that it's weird that we haven't seen TO in real time in about a year... Hopefully that will change.

Maybe Tim's possible missing time (saying that the hospital visit happened last week in this entry) is the result of a TO encounter? Or maybe Hoody caught up with Tim after the trip to the hospital?

When Tim said "Who's Jessica? Some girl you met at a hotel or something?" my first thought was, "how ironic". My second thought was, "Oh. Right."
Yeah, for a second I forgot that Tim had watched all of the videos, so I thought Tim was just a great guesser (or trying to accuse Jay of illicit activities)

Anyone else notice how prominently Tim brought up Jessica, but not one mention of Amy?

Also, how much does this change Entry 15? (the Interview) Does that mean we can *kinda* trust Tim as he is semi-normal and also under Memory-Lapse?

I do want to know something though.

If Tim found the MH videos, did he also find the TTA videos as well?

I know the first time I found MH, I didn't know about TTA for quite a while. Razz

Why do people keep mentioning this? When has Masky attacked Jay?

In entry #18 or whatever, he charged him, yeah, but then when Jay blacked out, what'd he do? Coulda done anything he wanted to the guy, but instead, he got him out of the house that we now know to be dangerous as fuck, and put him in his car a safe distance away.

In the hotel? Got him out of there the day after he survived a Slendy-attack.

With the knife? Pushed him aside to get to Alex.

Seriously, Masky's been nothing but benevolent to Jay, if in an extremely intimidating manner.

No, Jay lost his memory of what happened. He didn't lose consciousness. Jay might have had to fight Masky off before he got away, after which his memory was wiped by TO.

But he neglected to save Jessica. And it's pretty sketchy that he came out of Jessica's room right when she disappeared. Jay has plenty of reasons to be suspicious of Tim/Masky.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
However, I personally believe that Masky IS benevolent and against TO/Alex, he's just not coherent enough to express it in the most... appropriate ways.
