Absolutely superb... Also, I would've cried laughing if Tim yelled something like "I EVEN BOUGHT THE DVDS!" or if he yelled outside his window, while driving away, to get Jay to lower the camera.

Seriously though, this was pretty great. That being said, I can't help but feel like MH has probably lost quite a few fans because of entries like this (ones that focus less on being scary, and more on character development). I personally don't mind the series' evolution, it's pretty nice.

Remember, it's pretty much confirmed that Tim was PART of TTA, but he's not alone.

This is a very good point.

This entry more or less confirms that unless Tim is a good actor IG as well as OOG, that possession/alternate personalities/temporary amnesia so you forget what you get up to when you're wearing your special mask/whatever is part of the equation here. It's long been the case - ever since we had those shots back in season 1 of Tim having a sleepwalking incident that he doesn't remember - that exposure to this stuff causes memory gaps, but this is the clearest indication we have to date that these gaps entail more than just helpless sleepwalking. If Tim is telling the truth, then when you're in one of these fugue states you can perform comparatively complex tasks.

That being the case, the "who is TTA?" question flies WIDE open again. It could literally be anyone, especially if TTA is a team instead of an individual, and more or less nobody can be written off unless we can show that they physically couldn't have produced any of the TTA videos. It's even possible that TTA is every single person affected by these fugue states.

Just rewatched entry 33. Never realized Tim came out of her room, always thought he came from the hallway.

Jessica's room has some cool recliner in there, how come Jay didn't have one lol. Also her desk chair was turned over

No, Jay lost his memory of what happened. He didn't lose consciousness. Jay might have had to fight Masky off before he got away, after which his memory was wiped by TO.

I...suppose? Maybe I'm just looking at it through fanboy-tinted glasses or something, but I can't really see that happening in the narrative. If not because literally every time Jay's seen Masky, he's either been neutrally affected, or actually better off, then because like someone else mentioned, Tim's a juggernaut compared to shrimpy Jay.

But he neglected to save Jessica. And it's pretty sketchy that he came out of Jessica's room right when she disappeared. Jay has plenty of reasons to be suspicious of Tim/Masky.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
However, I personally believe that Masky IS benevolent and against TO/Alex, he's just not coherent enough to express it in the most... appropriate ways.

That is pretty shady, I'll grant you.

Is it just me, or am I hearing faint music after Tim leaves and Jay points the camera at himself a la Entry 24?

Some of them are wearing a bit thin to me, but they've drawn me in enough thus far that I just want to see how it ends, if nothing else. I think they're about due for some spooks.

WOAH, just caught something:

Tim talks about the hospital visit happening "last week".

Based on the Twitter timeline, the hospital visit happened on the 18th May - nearly a MONTH before this little encounter, and certainly long ago enough that the "last week" statement isn't even slightly accurate.

The only possible conclusion: Tim has already had another Masky incident since then and hasn't realised yet.

EDIT: Derp, Aidansean beat me to it. Still, definitely worth consideration. Considering that the guys have pulled and edited entries to remove fleeting glimpses of anachronistic Spongebobs, I'm sure they'd have tweaked the dialogue accordingly to avoid timeline problems unless they specifically wanted to highlight a discontinuity.

I think Tim watched the videos in reverse order and stopped watching when he got too angry, long "before" Amy showed up. He probably got as far as Entry #35 and stopped, which explains why he's so pissed off at Jay, and doesn't take any of the blame himself. It also leaves some plot development for when Tim finally does see the earlier videos and realises he used to be more aggressive and tackle-happy.

On a second watching I also noticed Jay refer to the hospital as "a few days ago". Maybe they're both losing time.

All I'm saying is that because we don't know how Jay got away, and Jay himself doesn't know, it's not unreasonable to be suspicious of Masky. It also means that Jay has a reason not to trust him. Although, like I said, I think Masky IS trying to help.

And when you recall that Tim/Masky attacked Jay for absolutely no justifiable reason, or at least no obvious reason, I'd say Jay is easily the most innocent character out of all of them.

Why do people keep mentioning this? When has Masky attacked Jay?

In entry #18 or whatever, he charged him, yeah, but then when Jay blacked out, what'd he do? Coulda done anything he wanted to the guy, but instead, he got him out of the house that we now know to be dangerous as fuck, and put him in his car a safe distance away.

In the hotel? Got him out of there the day after he survived a Slendy-attack.

With the knife? Pushed him aside to get to Alex.

Seriously, Masky's been nothing but benevolent to Jay, if in an extremely intimidating manner.

The point is that the majority of the time, he's been intimidating Jay. Whether it was chasing him in the hotel or in the house, or shoving him then attacking a seemingly good guy with a knife, Jay has plenty of reasons to yell right back at Tim about him being threatening.

Next TTA will be entitled "promise" and will tell Jay that he's not fucking around anymore. He flashes a gun at the camera. Masky emerges from the darkness behind him. Entry 60: Jay will visit the tunnel, meet Hoody/TTA, and will question him. Hoody will remove his ski mask, and Unfiction will shit their collective pants.

This can probably just be chalked up to a simple continuity error. Their schedules got a bit out of hand, and it's such a minor one that they didn't really need to go back and fix it. O
