We know for a fact that at least the place where Jay and Alex damasked Tim and the hospital are within walking distance of each other. I'm not sure about the rest of Rosswood, maybe someone else can clarify

I don't think that was ever definitively confirmed, particularly since we've never been able to precisely place when (or in some theories, if) entry 29 occurs.

Timasky's just as liking as anyone else as a culprit for that blood.

Slendy removed bruce's body and clothes, and we never see or hear of any corresponding "real" time when Jay would have gone to the Tunnel of Doom at a point to have discovered it.

But that's not a discussion for this thread.

Perhaps the "blood in the hair" is linked to the blood in the sink in brian's house?

Or maybe the blood in the hair is just a reference to something that was never filmed.
Side note: I have a really hard time believing that the blood in 29 wasn't Bruce's.

I figured the blood in the hair incident had something to do with him attacking Jay in Brian's house. Didn't Tim say he woke up somewhere in the woods with his car or something with memory loss? If he did, that's exactly what happened to Jay after that. It'd support the motion that Tim was trying to get Jay out of the house to protect him, but both got attacked anyway.

Blood in his hair is more likely from entry 33 since Jay whacked him in the head with the flashlight

And also I have two theories as to how they get back in their car:

1) they backtrack to their car under the operator's influence, similar to how jay got back in his bed in entry 19. thing is, if they're concious enough to know where their car is, how could they not be concious enough to drive it away

2) hoody finds their concussed bodies and puts them there

Yeah I guess the flashlight to the head makes more sense.

I think if they were conscious enough to get to their cars but not drive them, Operator influence must put you in a sleep-walking like state. Or possibly something like feeling really tired; they wander to their cars and once safely inside immediately black out.

I'd say there is more significant proof of your first theory in 52. After Jay rushes toward the Operator. He is laying on the ground, gets up, puts the camera on the tripod, and lays down on the bed. None of which Jay recalls when he finally did wake up based on the narration.

You know I wonder though. Jay doesn't actually remember the events of season 2 even after watching the tapes. He's informed of what happened, but not actually able to recall it.

It seems that if that is the case Tim doesn't actually remember doing anything he saw even after the entries. Honestly, Jay had the advantage in season 2 of knowing ahead of time what it was like to see himself doing things that he couldn't remember doing from a couple entries in season 1. Tim, however just found out why there are huge gaps in his memory and what fills them.

That said, Tim does say that Jay is bringing back old memories, but the point in which he says it makes it sound like the memories are ones he wants to forget, but weren't necessarily erase or missing. What kind of bad memories was Jay bring up? Just ones involving whatever mental problem he has or something else.

Lastly though, referring to what Jay has been doing as detective work is laughable. Jay hasn't actually done any real investigating except when going through Brian's house, Alex's apartment, and tracking down Tim. He's never bothered to actually try to find a solution or explanation through normal footwork. I mean also the fact that when Alex gave him a ghost story about the woods and it went completely over Jay's head had me wondering what Jay's motivations were in season 2. Jay seemed to be after an explanation in season 1 and 2 but when Alex proposes one, he doesn't even make a connection.

He showed absolutely no interest that the woods had a some kind of spooky history regardless of how irrelevant it may have been. Never bothered to research the local area that we saw. He wanted to get more done in season 2 and it is obvious he started to suspect Alex of something. But he hasn't really tried to investigate the root of the problem himself, all his investigations were to find leads to people who might have answers and get information off of them.

It seems his current motivation is to find Jessica and deal with Alex. Though I think his line about Jessica has a weird tone to it. It almost sounds sarcastic, is that because he figured Tim should already know about her due to seeing the entries... or is there some other reason?

The reason is that Troy is a better writer and cameraman than an actor

I think blood in the hair referred to the entry where Tim was hiding from Alex in the burned building because Tim would touch his head and look at his hand as if he was bleeding.

Yeah actually that makes way more sense since alex clearly hit him on the head.

I don't know, after seeing the stuff he does outside of MH, I'm pretty sure Jay's personality is intentional.

Also, looking back at Entry 14, Alex wakes up with blood on his face/coming from his hair and made a point to record it, perhaps he had/has an alter ego and got in a fight aswell? Just trying to link symptoms.
