ByoLogyc's presentation at NXNE got off to a farily normal start. CEO Chet Getram and Innovation Officer Trevor Haldenby began the session by talking about the goals of the company, where their focuses lie, and where they see their future headed. Some key comments include "interactivity is the new passivity", when talking about how they want to create a relationship with their VIPs (in lieu of "clients"), and mentioning that lately they been turning their collective attention to disaster management.

After making a brief stab at Davian being listed in the program above him, Chet left the gathering, leaving a burly security guard to watch the door.

Davian took to the stage and announced that rather than simply talk, he wanted to conduct a test exercise. The audience was instructed to tweet their reactions to images shown onscreen with #nxnei attached, for the purpose of analyzing people's psychological and physiological responded to stimuli presented in a social environment. (IMAGES NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME). Responses to the series of images ranged from happy, feeling alienated, stressed, evoking feelings of censorship, cleanliness, lack of personal control, and a scene depicting the result of a disaster.

At the last image presented, however, the twitter feed showed more than just the audience's responses. Instead the feed was populated with a number of nasty, scathing comments about ByoLogyc, their products, practices, and employees. (Twitter handles have been removed to protect those whose accounts were hacked).

This has definitely piqued my interest, even though I am nowhere near TO. This is my first time getting involved in ARG, so I just don't want to screw it up. But I figure how much can I screw it up from 2000 miles away, right?
