 Clockwork Watch

Had an email from Yomi, the brains behind the excellent Breathe, regarding his next hugely ambitious project.

Clockwork Watch is a steam punk multimedia event, taking place over twelve months, involving graphic novels, theatre, film, interactive fiction and other live events. It sounds awesome from what's currently available.

They're seeking funding as of now - find out more here:

The page description reads
Quote:

Our remit is to deliver and manage the dissemination of clockwork labour effectively and efficiently to the public. We are responsible for managing the clockwork registration system, as well as research and development of all automatons in her Majesty's name acros the empire.

Sounds interesting.

Here's the latest from the Production Blog:
Tomorrow's World Today

Tomorrow's World Today
Posted on March 11th, 2012

Clockwork Watch is proud to announce the first instalment of our steampunk transmedia project.

"Tomorrow's World Today" – the greatest exhibition of practical technologies for the well- heeled Victorian household.

This all day immersive 'show and tell' is a universe setting concept and entry point to our three year long love story.

Don your amazing outfits, and step into a world where Victorian values collide with anachronistic technologies. A place where the public rally against the unwise employment of science, and its impact on society. The public accuse scientists of 'playing God' with the development of Clockwork labour.

The fun starts at 2pm on May 6th at a venue in Central London. The location will be announced soon.

Participants will have character cards with tasks and information, move through sets, gather clues, join demonstrations and solve mysteries.

You are welcome to come in costume, as a character or as yourself.

New Email - Live Gathering

Camera! Lights!! Industrial Action!!!

Many parts of the Clockwork Watch story will take place in the real world, because we believe this approach encourages 'play' and opens the storyworld to participants who want to help co-create.

Our second 'live event' comes in the form of "industrial action' or a strike, called by the Union for the Casual Labourer - a group representing people working on the Clockwork Project at the Department for the Advancement of Sciences.

"Jobs will be lost when the "Clocks" we're developing become active."

The Casual Labourer Strike is a 'working class' day of action, where anyone following this story can participate by going on strike. We would like everyone interested in storytelling, Steampunk, Victoriana or just role-playing to join us on July 14th 2012. You do not have to be a trade unionist to strike, in fact we hope people from other factions join in, you can even oppose the strike.

Create a placard stating your grievance, don your working class finery, take a photograph or video, write a story and share it on your social stream - Twitter, Facebook, blog - or send it to us at (informer - @ - clockworkwatch-dot- com).

Join us, wherever you are!

The strike is a major development in the Clockwork Watch story, and we need your help in making it happen. We hope to rally a global show of strength, some of us will picket the Advancement of Sciences Roadshow on July 14th / 15th, but kindly join us in spirit, wherever you are, and share it online!

Kindly post details of your intent on our Facebook Event page, and you can follow the story live on our tweeter stream @ClockworkWatch.

Don't forget this is all about PLAY, and we hope you enjoy the experience.

Brothers, Sisters, drop your tools, we're going on strike - OUT!

Extra! Extra!! Read all about it in our online paper The London Gazette!
