Union Station - parking garage is behind the station on H St. Will cost a bit ($10 maybe more, I forget).

Georgetown - parking garage in the movie theater building; entrance near corner of Wisconsin & K. $5 in the evening.

Sounds about the same that I had to pay last week in the Metro system, without the time-wasting hassles I had to go through. Thanks!

I just hope traffic isn't -that- bad... Mapquest's directions to get to Union Station are.... unique, to say the least. (Take the beltway to MD-193 E then follow MD-650 S into DC... alternatively, take 16th all the way down, but 16th is a residential road and probably slower...)

MCI Center/ Union Station

hey guys, i tried the MCI center phone today at 1:06p, but nothing happened. It was a valid coordinate and call point, right?

Anyway, I'll try to make it to Union Station after work (I work at 14th & F)

Sorry, it went hot, I was an hour early. Don't mind my lack of time zone conversion.

Hey guys,
Business trip gone crazy. Two day trip turned into a 5 day trip so PM me and let me know if I can help you guys out while i'm up here. Also...any of you guys need a job? I could use some tech support staff. Full time and in a lawfirm. MSOffice experience would help.

These are the remaining axons for today:

14:10 (5:10 EST) "Washington Harbor" unclaimed
15:06-15 (6:06-15 EST) "Union Station" (10 axons) INCyr, StarCreator, Chappy
15:20 (6:20 EST) "Carousel" unclaimed
15:36 (6:36 EST) "Smithsonian" unclaimed
15:45 (6:45 EST) "Federal Center" Chappy
16:05 (7:05 EST) "Vermont Avenue" unclaimed
17:14-26 (8:14-26 EST) "Georgetown Cinema" (6 axons) AlienDial, Chappy
17:29 (8:29 EST) "Connecticut and K" unclaimed

I'm going to skip the Carousel and Smithsonian in order to bulk up our Union Station crew. INCyr, if you want to skip it in lieu of studying, go ahead; Star Creator and I can handle it. I think I can get to Fed Center fast enough to make that call, and then I'll meet up with AlienDial at the Cinema.

Welcome Webshift and gottalovett! If you would like to help tonight, you're more than welcome to try an "unclaimed" axon above, or meet us at Union Station or the Georgetown Cinema. Please check the DC Reference Page for maps and descriptions of each axon in the area. Let us know if you have any questions or requests.

No problem zombi; good luck with your calls. Make sure you emphasize the "s" in bees, folks got dumped earlier today when they only said "bee".

(I got dumped myself at 13th and Jefferson... the crackling noise on the phone screwed the voice recognition Sad )

Total N00b here. . . shamefully. But I found an axon site for my town of Midlothian, VA and went there exactly at the time stated - 11:47 AM Eastern time. Waited at the 2 Wal*Mart payphones. Nothing happened. Did someone beat me there? Should I keep checking back? There aren't any other payphones nearby.

Someone let me know what I should do.

Hello.. Im new to this axon thing, last few days been reading the guides for ilovebees and stuff, the story so far. I live very nearby the Conneticut and K (farragut square) location, and as it is unclaimed I am willing to go answer... provided thats ok. I need the Bees answer, the i_never_do and the timecode part for the call? Anything else I need? Im kinda confused about that part. Thanks

daemon - we've never tried midlothian, too far away. So no idea whether you found the right phone, no idea whether anyone has been getting them up to now. However today was the first day of a new round so if it was going to ring it should have rung today. Possibilities - if no one has been getting it, maybe it was retained as a filler? If never answered before, maybe the phone does not accept incoming? So many possibilities.

phatal - if the relevant sound clip is now unlocked, most likely Conn&K will not ring again tomorrow. BUT if we still need the clip, it should ring. Just watch out for the homeless guys - there's 3 that work that particular stretch of Conn. around the phone at that hour, and it will be pretty dark.
AND all you need to do is listen to the recording and answer "BEES" clearly when she asks what her least favorite insect is. If she recognizes your answer (voice recognition SW; say the word three time distinctly to be safe) Your job is then over, you can listen to the sound clip. That's it. ALl the textmarker stuff is done; you'd just be enhottenating an axon. Routine stuff. Phew.

BOOYA!!!!

I just wanted to make a point of stopping in here and thanking all of you for a job well done! Our shining hour with the relay process - but yet our darkest in many other respects.....

When I say signal you say corps!
Signal!
Corps!

from the 404 page:

Rogue Process Destroyed
Thanks to the rapid field execution of the crew, the rogue process (also known as the "Sleeping Princess") has been destroyed. . . .

Combat Training Exercise

I have arranged a special training exercise for crewmembers 17 and older, utilizing squad-oriented combat simulation LIVEware, for Thursday, Nov. 4, from 18:00 – 21:00 Pacific time at the following coordinates:

40.743071 -073.976763
42.040240 -088.035197
30.266632 -097.744710
37.784568 -122.404169

Damn the closest one in in New York! Looks like no pay-off for our work.

edit - no need to repost the entire message in the DC thread; shorten, or even just post the link - AD

Hey guys, we got the big shaft for next Thursday, with the nearest place for marshalling in New York. However, there is some good news. Sunday the 6th, the Washington Post Inside Source is hosting a Halo 2 event. Go to http://insidesource.washpost.com and register, then sign up for the party.

I figure, what better way to stick it to those punk-ass PMs than to have our own party.

Sign up and be there.

And while you're at it, get back to INCyr about Poker this friday. Now. I'll be there, and I'm bringing my table. Come to take my money.

Tom Bridge, CPO
