Flyleaf this was really unnecessary and you're making a big deal out of nothing.

I'm posting them in the entry topics I don't care if people whine about it (i only counted 3 people even complaining and it's the same people who complain about everything i post soooo), even a mod said it was fine to post it there

I guess I'll copy and paste them here for a better shot at the trio reading it, but I'm the only one who critiques shit anyway so why make a whole topic for little old me? Because sit there and read my critiques rather than ignoring them when you know they "ruin the mood" for you?

There's a freedom of speech and I shouldn't be restricted to where I can post my opinions about an ongoing topic

Considering your critiques--well-intentioned as they are--have a tendency to derail the threads completely, I think a critique thread is a good idea. Especially because posts that derail threads could potentially be called trolling.

This thread pretty much makes things more disorganized. I mean, a critique about an entry should go into the entry page because it has to do directly with the entry. This forum isn't really considered in game, so I don't see any problem with acknowledging the quality of the entries on the entry discussion. Also, Marble Hornets is barely an ARG so it's not like we have to be in character either. Put a spoiler on it or whatever if it's so annoying, but anything like discussing the flow of the plot can stay within the game or become out of game too and since that's what we discuss well then I think critique is fine there.

I don't know, I kind of like this thread idea. Most of the time I'm in a thread, I feel like "I want to say something, but this doesn't seem like the right place."

I'm not saying all criticisms should have to go into one thread, but I like the idea of a "review" thread as it were, because I can see a lot of things that could use a home going in here.

Now begins my feeble attempts to keep this thread from becoming completely off track of its original purpose.

TO needs to do more than just stand there.
Tim is the best actor, making Jay look quite mediocre in some scenes (i.e. completely nonchalant in #60 about walking down a maintenance tunnel).
I don't like how Hoody was introduced in entry #41. We have almost no idea where any of the characters are of even who they are. How do we solve this? ANOTHER MASKED VIGILANTY.
There needs to be another entry or two like #19.5, just to catch up the audience and fill in gaps between entries. It would only take about an hour to make at most.

I don't like Hoody, so I'm just gonna bitch about him for a few paragraphs. Seriously, it seems like he was invented entirely because they wanted Jay to drop the camera in that one entry, and they normally would have had Masky give it back to him, but Masky's leg was broken so that wouldn't have made any sense.

I mean really. Masky being totheark was hinted at constantly. I had a whole list of reasons it worked. Plus, it was simple. Tim=Masky=totheark, everything solved, except what is Masky's motivation.

Also, it clutters up the whole Tim/Masky split personality thing they're going for this season. Masky could just be Tim's alternate personality who makes totheark videos by himself in his basement because he's crazy. But now Hoody's here. So how does that work, Hoody has meetings with Tim's crazy alternate personality about how to make YouTube videos more creepy? It makes absolutely no sense unless you're really trying to not care about it.

And if Hoody and Masky are buds, what's Hoody's relationship with Tim when he isn't Masky? Well apparently Hoody doesn't like him from all the "Liar" stuff everywhere on his medical records. Plus, is Hoody an alternate personality himself, or is he just crazy?

Who even IS Hoody, we literally have absolutely no hints for that, except "Oh it could be Brian, that would seem fitting, assuming Brian's still somehow alive." All of it just seems WAY overly confusing, and frankly I think the whole story would be more elegant if Hoody didn't exist and totheark was just Masky, which I'd be willing to bet was what was originally intended. I mean, Troy said he originally didn't have a background for totheark. But, at least as far back as when they first came up with a background, I bet "Multiple users" wasn't involved.

TL;DR: Hoody's stupid, totheark should just be Timasky, the plot would be simpler.

I miss the old youtube channel layout. The dark gray and black complimented the videos nicely IMO. It kind of set the mood when I first found the videos here in the dim basement and gave each entry a grim and disturbing feeling. It complimented Entry ###### very well.

But I guess this could just be nostalgia. I dunno. Onto something Troy and co. actually have control over now I guess.

When the TTA videos started using that pixelly VCR font (I think of it as VCR font because I'm pretty sure enttry 37 is where it started being used) I was skeptical of it. I kind of found the random fonts where some were blurrey and some were a really small size a bit more unsettling. It gave the videos their own little bit of diversity. Now they have a conformed font and it seems a little bit limited. But the videos lately have been doing much more diverse things so it kind of balances out for me.

I don't really have any critiques that are really major. Anything I mentioned isn't very important in my eyes. If I had to pick something out though, I think Season 3 tapes that are supposed to be from 2006 should've been filmed with a lower quality camera to match the Season 1 tapes more.

This thread is actually for all the people who are afraid of getting bitched at by others because of some ppls reactions to prav's critiques, and for Trosephim to see our opinions. And it was made...... 15-20 minutes after i woke up, so the header will be changed.

Edit: Changed the header, and now we have a slightly less disorganized thread. (I hope) Critiques only from this post on?(Pretty, pretty please with a Masky on top?)
