Neurocam International

Hey guys, long time lurker here. Decided to make an account after I came back across something that I had been following a few years back.

I was wondering if anyone was around on the forums back when Neurocam International was active? Basically, they were an organization that, back in 2004, accepted online applications through their website and then sent these applicants on a series of questionable missions and assignments. It was very shadowy and the group had this big corporate front. Their central url was neurocam.com, but after a bit of Google-Fu and blog browsing, I discovered they had a new location at neurocam.org.

Apparently, they've relaunched. Their website is accepting applications and carries the same sort of mysterious aura that the old site did. It's either them or some mock group, I guess.

What do you guys think? Have any of you had any personal experiences with this group?

No experiences but the site looks nice and slick. I've registered fully one can only hope it is as good as their website.

The status page takes you to a Google map in the middle of the Texas desert miles from any major road. A little marker saying updated 5 days ago.

Somewhat lacking in information but that is par for course at the start of any ARG.

Watch this space...tiddles thumbs...

Here's a link to the old thread I've found http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8372.

I've also found that they will claim TINAG and they would be watching these forums or have always been watching Wink

I would consider it but only if its purported shady missions and life alteringness(?) Would be in reach of my capabilities and work hand in hand in benefit to my career, but that's not how these things work really though is it? Laughing

You've got to wonder sometimes...

EDIT: Apparently Art is anything you can get away with:

EDIT: Recently on another ARG I said that we live in a planet sized box controlled by forces within the box and then I come across this link for Neurocam Industries: http://neurocamindustries.wordpress.com/2012/05/

Got to love Jung and his theory of synchronicity Wink

Ok, I want to get involved in this, and I've read all the above links, so someone tell me: Is this an ARG? If it is I'm totally down, it looks really cool. I just don't want to be arrested for being a part of a pathological cult. Shocked

I suggest you google 'Neurocam 2012' and/or 'Neurocam' and read everything you can about them and then make your own decision.

Or just do what I did just use an alternate email address, if you check the code behind their website they don't validate the mobile number therefore you can use any number you like. Was tempted to to use the White House's information line but it only occurred to me after I registered. There is no reason you cannot register more than once with different details.

However I have decided not play this one since I'm too busy with other projects.
