under s banner.

Most of the Steg decoders I have found indicate that they only decode images with a .png extension. the only file on the main page with that is the background, but I am not getting anything out of it.

Yeah, the .png already revealed Key #6. I doubt Key #5 is there.

I've been using StegDetect on my PC and iSteg on my Mac. I can't decrypt bernice.jpg because I don't have a passphrase, but it's indicating there are a bunch of extractable bits.

What page is Bernice on?
http://www.byorenew.com/m/?v=4

I assume you have already tried various combinations of under, s, w and banner. Also combinations with Boomer and Boost. Have you tried utmz or _utmz? I am also wondering if it is additionally encoded with an anagram using the under, s, w, and banner...

where does the w come from?

nvm. oh wow, the w next to the s is bolded.

so now it says "under SW banner". i don't think that's going to need transposing. we need to figure out what it means.

i'm wondering if this is just a clue to the box location, since you log in when you're at the location. there would be a SW banner, and the box would be located there. since box 4 has been found, this could just be redundant on our part.

and maybe the steg in bernice.jpg is just another method of finding that same info.

I dunno, have we seen multiple methods for hiding the same message?

not in this context. each code has been different. i think we should continue to focus on logo_outguess.jpg.

You may be right. But for now I am missing the right tools. I know someone who knows someone... a "the truth will set you free" kinda guy. But he is unavailable for another 10 days or so... Sad

ok, i've got a pretty sweet app on my mac now. it's called "outguess". very easy to use.

i just need a key. everyone start brainstorm a passphrase that could be associated with the logo_outguess.jpg.

i'm going to keep banging my head against this until the stream goes up. in the meantime, i hope someone goes and grabs box 6, since we can open it.

and then there's this:

ByoLogyc is all about transparency. No need for keys—all our locks are open! #anewkindofcompany

which confuses me, because i can't extract from outguess without an extraction key. the program just won't let me. i tried transparency. no go.

So open the boxes already! LOL! Yeah, I just got that myself. Oh... and I was just informed by Olive that my ByoRenew sample shipped a few days ago... Maybe I'll be a zombie by dinner. Wink

transparency may mean there are no hidden messages in the images. basically telling us to stop trying to desteg. i don't know why we have the outguess hint, then.

"all our locks are open". does this relate to the source code. "open source".

transparency has an obvious connection to the bg.png code, but that's already been found.

transparent would suggest see through, what are they telling us to see through? are we to see through the box? or see through the image.. or just as previously mentioned that we need to stop looking because there is nothing?

well, looking through the bg.png we see the code to key #6. that's how i found it last night. so it may be they weren't following the forum and don't know we cracked that bit yet (because it hasn't been picked up).
