I'm starting to think the Operator may just follow hundreds of kids since childhood, only nobody ever remembers seeing it (or at least never remembers getting a good enough look at it to realize it's not human, since Alex did remember the encounter described in Entry 2, but thought it was just a guy in a suit), and it was just a fluke that Alex caught the thing on tape one day, noticed either that it had no face, or that it was standing somewhere it shouldn't be while rewatching, and became aware of its true nature. Keep going back to the whole "FORGET WHAT I SEE" thing.

In regards to the whole slow plot thing, I can agree.

But when you think about it, the first 14 entries in Season one were kinda the same thing weren't they?

Nonetheless, it was a half entry and I didn't really expect much forwarding from it. Really wonder what's going to happen in 61 now though. Jay has no leads on what to do.

This is becoming more and more like Candle Cove.

"Hey, remember that show..."
"Oh yeah, I watched it when I was a kid too!"
"Wait..."

"Hey, I had this crazy dream last night..."
"Yeah, I was a kid, and this guy in a suit was chasing me..."
"Wait, I think I remember something like that from when I was a kid..."

Jessica had dreams, Tim appears to have had prior Operator experience, and Alex has some unknown shit going on that may extend to childhood as well...ick. I want a reveal about Jay's past.

And maybe Jay should just try and go deeper in, or a Totheark post will tell him what to do next. I REALLY think Totheark is gonna want to put a word in after having made sure Jay's got the docs.

Love the amount of snark we got from Jay in this one.

Where do you guys suppose Jay will go from here? The last few entries gave us an idea of what the following entry would be about, but there's nothing here. Even Entry 19.5 lead Jay to the red tower.

My only guess is that Jay will have to confront Tim about his lies. Either that or a TTA entry will give Jay the next lead, but those videos have never been too important to the main plot.

We see a totheark video of the moment the truth dawned on Alex. He's watching on the screen as Brian reads his lines "This town is like a pair of pants I wore when I was a kid. I missed those pants so much when I was at college, but now that I'm wearing them again, they just don't feel all that comfortable." And as Tim and Brian begin to discuss whether Brian has outgrown the pants, or perhaps the metaphorical town-pants merely shrank in the washing machine of time, Alex notices a tall faceless thing half sticking out of a nearby wall.

Don't care how people judge me, this was nothing but boring filler. Everything listed in there was fairly obvious about Tim already, they don't have to spoon feed us things like this. This whole season with Tim has nailed the fact that Tim was unhealthy with the symptoms before MH into our heads constantly, we get it already, Tim was the reason he came into play.

And I really don't get the 2 week turnaround here. Most of those pages said the same thing on them and I feel like they just purposely released it late so they could either have more time to shoot the next entry, or just wanted to spread the season out more (both cases are fine to me, but if it was just laziness then comeon)

No criticism this time, just frustration. This whole subplot with tim has dragged on far too long, and the story is completely losing my interest. At some point, even something I love dearly can turn into something I'm finding myself dissapointed with often, and I think I've finally reached that point with Marble Hornets. I'm not sure if they have big plans for the rest of the season, but so far this season has been the worst of the 3 by a longshot.

So yeah. I'll still watch every entry, but I think they need to sit down and revise the plot if it's going to drag on this long. More epic moments like entry 43. Treat this like a once-in-a-lifetime chance to make an awesome movie, less as some average youtube series

Dragged on too long? You do realize that it's only been 8 (.5) entries right?
And we did learn things in this video, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.

Frame Skip

Did anyone else notice that it skips 6:46??? Maybe there is something in 6:46?

I'm pretty sure that's just Jay being Jay.

Probably intended to imply Tim's mask or Hoody's.

I think the "January 10" date is just an arbitrary January 10 after Tim's initial admission. It's probably 1996 or 1997. I have no idea why it would be redacted, though.

The very first thing I noticed.

@MHFanLuca: I think that's just an encoding error, honestly. Something about the frame rate bugged me about this video, too, but I don't think it's intentional.

Well, I don't have too much to say, except for whoever was onto that thing about the right side of the brain being the side that was more Masky might be onto something.

Also, to those who are speculating that the date is 1/10/10, eeh, I doubt it. Look at the quality of the paper - It's old and water-damaged in parts. Unless Hoody decided to drown the papers in tea or coffee or whatever, paper wouldn't get like that in two years time.

And my brain is telling me that it's October first, but that's because I don't live in the US, I guess. But yeah.

Interesting information in this video, though it was more in tidbits and less in the huge revelation I think some of us were expecting.

Just wanted to throw in my two cents about something that immediately stood out to me, as a school psychology student (someone who works heavily in the schools with special education)... At 1:55 ish, Jay talks about the "Potential Barriers To Learning" bar, where "emotional" is checked. Doesn't seem to be a diagnosis, but the label of "emotionally disturbed" is given in the schools to kids who show barriers to learning in an emotional sense (diagnosed with a mental disorder using the DSM). This can include depression, oppositional defiant disorder/conduct disorder, aggression, self-injurious behavior....the list goes on. What stands out to me is ODD and conduct disorder. Tim definitely seemed to be a ... how should I put it ... difficult child? Running away from home, aggression, anger, insomnia, possible delusions...the "possible disorder" could have been something pretty severe...ODD? Childhood schizophrenia? Poor Tim... A diagnosis like that can affect every part of one's life (hence the mention about possible school services)...no wonder he seems so touchy about the issue.

All in all, it likely isn't too relevant, but I just found it to be an interesting tidbit. (And it all made much more sense to me before 2 in the morning rolled around...oh well.)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Maybe the Operator has some variation of perception filter around him.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Or maybe the Operator is a part of the Silence.

Ok. Tim knows the Operator since childhood, but is he afraid? The form says she feels safe at home and fear for someone, then corrects himself and says he does not feel safe at home and not fear anyone. Answer their two personalities? Perhaps Masky feel safe with the Operator. Or the mother gave the first answer and the child corrected... On the other hand, a whole life being harassed ... but only that? In addition, he flees and takes refuge in Rosswood Park? What's the point? Perhaps he did not flee from the Operator ...

In Alex's birthday video, the image of the Operator appears superimposed over the original footage. It is not really there.
In another moment we see Hoody with Masky, attacking Alex. I think perhaps Timasky lied to Hoody, about the Operator and its origin. Assuming Hoody it is TTA, explained the birthday video. Then, over time, Hoddy, discover the truth and begins his campaign against Tim. ("liars everywhere")

I think Slendy enters Alex's life during the filming of MH in fact, Tim arrives and with it, comes Slendy. Hoody can emerge from an encounter with the operator, as in #12, many crew sees a Slendy that day, we do not know what happens then. Maybe after that, Tim sought help in his personal crusade against Alex, pointing to him as responsible for what happened.
Why hate Alex if even then barely knew? Perhaps by "stealing" his only friend?

Alex suspects that Slendy has come from the hand of a cast member, but can not find out who, so he decides to get rid of all. Perhaps the blame to everyone. Why always appears TO? Because Tim is always there, close. At # 56 does not appear when is recorded the symbol, otherwise when Tim is beaten. Tim loses consciousness and the Operator disappears. Appears again when Alex goes with Brian and Seth, but Tim is still in the building.

I can not have an overview of the series, surely forgotten a thousand things and that this theory fails in many parts, but that's what I think now.

Whoa, that's quite an awesome theory! Whoever brought the operator along in the original Marble Hornets shooting has survived exposure to him, so they won't be harmed much if they come into contact with him. So one by one Alex takes the crew to see the operator and tries to find out who is not harmed. It turns out that he runs out of crew members and comes to the conclusion that he was the one who brought the operator along in the first place, and then he willingly lead his crew right to the slender one. I think this makes Entry #22 even more epic. "I was the only one left..." (ie I must have brought the operator here) "... and I left [Seth]."

But we know more than Alex did in Entry #22, we know that Tim survived the encounter in Entry #56. Later on Alex found out that Tim was still alive, and what did he do? He used Jay to get masky to the burned out house and then tried to kill Tim. After all, at that point only Tim and Alex had any evidence that Alex was responsible for the disappearance or death of anyone.

It cuts between each document for whatever reason. Like, he reads the Pediatric Admissions Profile, and then it cuts to the next document, and then the Brief Operations Note thing...I don't think there's any trickery afoot, just some editing to expedite things rather than having us watch him shuffle through the folder.

Also, rewatching this, I like how Jay talks about the redacted period of time upon which Tim had run away and had been found in Rosswood Park:

"It could have been days, weeks, months, hours, minutes."

So apparently a little Tim could have possibly sprinted out of the house to Rosswood and been found immediately. Poor failed escape attempt. Sad (I get that Jay was just pointing out how unknown it was, but it's still funny. Razz)

EDIT: Forgot the Suicide/Self-Harm Assessment Tool:

EDIT: Also, here's the PDF for the Brief Operative Progress Note, but again, there was barely anything on it of note in the video, so unless you wanna see what was redacted it's not very helpful: http://www.hospital-forms.com/1281.pdf What I did get from it was that we didn't really lose anything important except for the actual type of procedure and possibly the name of the doctor.

Obviously all the forms were from this site: http://www.hospital-forms.com/
