There haven't been any confirmations yet, to my knowledge. I'm looking up parking in the area--one friend told me it should be around $20 for an evening, which is doable. I'll be taking a half day Thursday, with the plan to leave around 2pm or so. We'll still hit rush hour traffic in NYC, but be able to make it to the event in time.

I think I might be interested in going, if anyone wants to carpool from the Rochester area, or anywhere along a reasonable route from Rochester to NYC. Preferably people who can share driving/gas costs. Also, need to figure out where to stash the car and head into the city.
Reverse is also true - if anyone's heading to NYC and thinks they'll be passing near Rochester I'd be willing to go and share driving/gas costs.
As far as lodging, dunno... maybe head out after the event and crash at a motel somewhere along the way back?

I believe the building(s) is the
Quote:
Kips Bay Plaza
Block: The two 21-story exposed-concrete slabs were built 1960-65 to an I.M. Pei design.
There's a strip mall on the 2nd Avenue side that includes the Loews Kip's Bay multiplex.

I'd be coming from good ol' #1 state of DE...and I'm betting I'm the only one from the area that is on the crew. WIth that said, I'd probably be driving back that night. has anyone received confirmation yet?

That sounds good. I'd totally chip in for gas/parking. I should be able to find someone at the event who can let me crash for the night, then we can meet up in the morning to drive back. Does that sound good? I'll talk to McFinn today and ask him.

Mark, I believe that even if you don't get to participate directly in the Combat Exercise, you can still show up and watch whatever happens. The 404 page does encourage people to show up even if they can't register. And if you're that close, you might as well!

I'm in southern NJ, close to 295 & the Turnpike. I have to ditch class and explain a lot of things to my girlfriend if I go. But if I do, maybe we can carpool? We have a week to plan... (I have an iPod- makes roadtrips with total strangers FUN!)

Alright chances are I will be going there to film the event for the documentry. I need a little more help. I already ahve a full care (with equitment and crew memebers and such) but could I get the address of the place. I orginally thought it was located at NYU another sort of sub part I guess near me but from what I read it looks like its in the city it self. Can anyone help seeing how I suck with GPS coordinates/ or point out my stupidy of missing the real address? If I go I'll be filming my ass off. Ill do interviews and everything not to keen on playing as I am just to film the events of that night. Anyways address please. as a reward here is a picture of My friends standing at this pay phone for the 8th time!

And yes, a real street address of the event from any native new yorkers would be great.
