So who plays the Slender Man? Just because I enjoy a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff to movie making. Anyone know who portrays the Slender Man? Is it an actor on stilts? A prop? How does he move, the few times we've seen him move?

Trosephim have said they don't want to reveal how they do the Operator until Marble Hornets is finished. Although they said they don't use a mannequin because it's expensive, that was before they earned thousands of dollars from DVDs. I personally believe they started with an actor, then switched to a mannequin.

There's a arguably new video (with that I mean it's not from the first season era) posted on some youtube account which involves Troy, Joseph and some other friend of him which kind of looks like Bruce but it's not and they are goofing arround with a pair of tilts and if someone has a link please post it because I don't have it or the name of the video.
Phew...

You can tell that, in the first season, the Slender Man was played by an actor, with the exception of the "car entry". In the second season, he was definitely some kind of prop, because he came off as very stiff. Now, though, they seem to have switched it up. Because in the most recent entry (60), he moves more fluidly.

I think that it has been an actor the entire time, and they just used distortion and video tricks to remove the face.
Though I do suppose that we never saw Slendy move in S2.

In season 2 at one point Tim played him (i think entry 46 - he kind of revealed it in a podcast by saying he had to put his outfit back on (people claim that he was originally going to appear as masky in that entry but there's no proof of that))
also in 60 i'm pretty sure it's tim as well, his face looked a lot wider
willing to bet in 40 it was joseph

Uh, that's bullshit. Someone asked him on his Tumblr about it, he said Masky was originally going to appear. People didn't just make that up for no reason.

There's way too many inconsistencies in the appearances for them to have one method. I used to think it was never an actor but in very few entries as far back as #4 it seems very much like a person playing him. There are just so many appearances where he's totally stationary, though. I think it's usually a prop. I don't know how they do it, but that's how it looks. Plus in the same radio interview where they said it wasn't a mannequin they were talking about how if someone tried to make the Slender Man their way for Halloween it would be awful.

I agree. Most of the time, especially if we see his whole body with the full length of his legs(!) it looks clearly like a lifeless prop. And in these shots it usually doesn't move, or just so slightly that it can be done by wiring the moving body part.
Shots that show only his upper body or just parts of his body seem to be played by team members sometimes.
EDIT: Took out a wrong thought.

i don't know in entry 52 when jay charges the operator just before he blacks out, you can briefly see him bracing himself. That kinda looked CG to me

It seems to be a doll there too. They might have used CG to move the arms, but I'm not sure about that. They move straight up, there's no complicated movement (unless I missed something), this can easily be done with wires/threads. Especially as they move up when his hands are already out of screen. I consider both ways possible, but using CG to move Slendy would be kind of untypical for Trosephim. Use of CG is usually limited to distortions (and secret messages, if you count TTA) of any kind and some edits to insert symbols in their clips as far as I can tell.

I'm thinking at least some of the Season 2 entries may have been filmed with a person. In the one where Alex walks up to The Operator it looks like he's starting to have a face, and I think they said it was an accident caused by the higher quality video. That'd mean there was a face, or at least something that looks like a face, underneath the Operator "face".

Ya, plus look at stuff like Entry #14. That's clearly a person.
