 		Well, I think there's a certain amount of suspension of disbelieve with totheark. The creators wanted to do a YouTube channel with encoded messages and all that crap, and when they started expanding the story they gave totheark a backstory and motives. But why does he feel the need to communicate everything by code? Who knows. We knows insanity is a fairly universal symptom of Slendersickness, just look at Tim and Alex. Both insane in their own special way. So totheark acting completely illogically doesn't particularly bother me.

 		Totheark can be as insane as he wants; this is a series where a faceless man in a suit crawls through maintenance tunnels to do god-knows-what to them and then do the equivalent of dosing them with his built-in date-rape memory-loss drug.

The problem is that his irrationality (at least, as it appears) defies theories that attempt to ascribe any semblance of long-term goals or schemes to him. I for one think Totheark is as terrified as anyone else and is just scrambling to find some way to get rid of the big scary man in the black suit with gloves, and doesn't really know that much more than anyone else except how to somehow procure age-old medical documents.
