BURGLARY IN AGLAURA - May 16, 2003
Aglaura residents were shocked today to learn that the home and business of a local prominent Aglaura family was burglarized last night. The incident occurred at the Hollow Needle Rare Books and Antiques store on Old Dobbs Road, in Aglaura. The business, owned by J. Douglas Willingham, the Aglaura Borough attorney, and his wife, Phyllis Willingham, is located in their personal residence, and both Mr. and Mrs. Willingham were in the home at the time.
According to Mrs. Willingham, she happened upon the intruder or intruders while going to the kitchen, downstairs in the residence and directly adjacent to the store area, at approximately 11:00PM last night. "I saw a dark menacing figure," recounted Phyllis Willingham from her bed at home, where she is recuperating after being treated at Greatwater General Medical Center, "and before I could even scream or turn on the lights, they were upon me. Oh, it was horrible." Upon further conversation, Mrs. Willingham was unable to say with certainty just exactly how many intruders there were. She was held briefly for observation at GGMC after fainting or being knocked unconsciousness during the incident. Doctors at GGMC have declined to comment on the nature of or extent of Mrs. Willingham's possible injuries.
Aglaura Police have not issued an official statement on the investigation yet but are reportedly following several leads provided by the victims and have suggested that only a few items have been identified as missing yet. Among them are several items that the Hollow Needle only recently acquired, including an old manuscript page alleged by Mrs. Willingham to be quite valuable and rare. This page is one of several items found in an old trunk while renovating the Aglaura Public Library. A few of the other items found in the trunk, including two paintings by local artist Sarah Wyatt, were recently auctioned off in a special Aglaura Library Fund Raising event.
More details as they are available.

Well, so much for Dale getting a look at it bet the Dead Eyes have it now.... or perhaps Colin Penrose's Associates?
