I was also going to mention Just Acquaintances, I love that one.

I also haven't actually watched it, but My Dad's Tapes is supposed to be a good and creepy ARG as well. I was planning on watching it at some point...don't have a ton of free time right now though. Confused

I used to think Slenderman was pretty stupid. Why did I change my mind? I think it's like any other antagonist. If he's handled well, & you can take him seriously as a threat, he's good. If he's handled poorly, the illusion fades, & he's just boring.

It's not just the quality of the work. It's also whether or not Slender Man appeals to the specific things that freak you out. When I was a kid, I was terrified of things watching me through my windows when I was trying to sleep. One of the first things with Slender Man I saw was him peering in a window at night. Pressed all the right buttons for me.

Definitely going to check out those two other vlogs though. Always interested in more horror vlogs.

I suggest the Fear Mythos. They have entities, such as Slendy and The Rake, but in my opinion...they're a little scarier with a better story. I can link you to some things if you'd like.

The Fear Mythos is more of a monster mash.

If you want good Slender Man stories, I recommend Dreams In Darkness and To My Eldest Son.

This is OH GOD THE RAPTURE IS BURNING, an online serial novel about the apocalypse. ..set in the Fear Mythos, but slendy is pretty important to the story. With a lot of accompanying art by wonderful artists. And it's gonna be made into a comic adaption. So yes, you're welcome.

And no, the Fear Mythos is about as much a monster mash as the Slender Man Mythos is full of good writing. By which I mean, there are some monster mash blogs, but they're really few and far between. We were all monster mash-y back when we were still trying to be like the Slender Man Mythos, but then we realized "Okay, y'know what, let's just make it official that everyone can make up their own canon and that the Fears can be written and interpreted however they want" and now people are just writing creative stories.

Who is Mr. Tom, A newer project that the creators are promoting with hopes of getting enough funds to create a full length movie.

It is basically a documentary being filmed about an exorcist named Mr. Tom, It has some pretty good effects and I really enjoy the acting. I personally would really love to see this project get off the ground.
