Okay, so we have hit a bit of a wall so after many a confused hour in the IRC I decided to put a few of the ideas here so people can try and make something of them.

General points- The video might link to "Abandon hope" to complete the quote by Dante

The video is made of mostly old clips or bits of B-Roll from other videos

Doors- I would say the main shot is the final one, the closing door, it has a few meanings

"When one door closes another door opens"- the first thing that came to me so if the door closes on Melissa does that means she is out of the group or is it a more open point that we are moving on to something new?

Religion - Some religions place a lot of ideas onto doors as a physical thing or as a concept.

In Christianity Chirst said "I am the Door". Also during Passover God told those in Egypt to mark their door in blood to avoid loosing their first born and being affected by the plagues. Could DNCs symbol on the door be this? Protection from something?

In the Zodiac the "door of men" is the solstice during the Capricorn phase (which we are in now) and it symbolises the dying power of the sun (the nights drawing in) so could this be a really obscure pun? "the death of the son" e.g. Chris?

In Egyptian mythology the gates of the House of Osiris are kept by one goddess each, could Melissa be guarding a gate? I mean she was Chris' way into the group and pulled him to Don and now Emily is pulling him to a new place which could be a new "gate".

General-The most obvious one is the idea of doors as a passage to a new life or new place.

Clips- This video is interesting as it is made up of old videos, it feels like it is an almost "greatest hits" of DNCs work to this point but also a reflection, this fuels my theory the old DNC is dead or gone this seems very much like someone looking back at their past work or the work of the one that has come before them. Almost reminds me of the regeneration scenes of Dr Who.

Also if we presume "Abandon Hope" is linked to "ye who enter here" then the first scene seems to suggest a new person, the ceremony of the objects being laid out like they are resting in state just makes me think they are passing them on.

Binary- The binary is pretty straightforward which is unusual. Clear to see but split into 2, "broke" and "n yet" you could say that the binary is like Chris and it is broken itself.


Unusual Video layout- this video is mostly empty, which is odd for DNC, maybe a trick to make us think it was a screamer?

Links to "Abandon Hope"- Abandon hope all ye who enter here is from the Inferno and is the sign above hell. Abandon hope seems on the surface like a standard DNC kill vid, however there was a switch in MO and style here.

The other thing that catches me is the use of the skull (I think) it appears for the first time in this video (to appear twice more, once in the screamer and once on Chris' car) just the strange equipment shot and a random skull hanging around that is later given to Chris...

Interesting that this video shows are large mix of people.

Interestingly we see no dead people, but Kathleen and the vic before death, could this be suggestive of Melissa?


Random- seeing the new still of Kathleen just reminds me of what an odd hole she is in (this might be because of OOG concerns, digging a human sized hole in your garden can be a bit of an issue most of the time) but its an odd shape and forcing her to be in the fetal position burried facing to the right. Now the only society I can think of that burried Women in the fetal position facing right would have been Neolithic and Chalcolithic settlements in the Eastern Balkans (Romania, Transylvania ect.).

Well....that was...a tad pointless?

The video is interesting here, notice unlike the call from the sister it is full edited and full transcribed, the last few videos have been badly filmed, badly edited (if edited at all) to reflect Chris not caring.

Yes now he films and transcribes this one full back to his old high standards, something is up with that

Could be, but could be trying to keep it realistic as that's what the suicide lifeline's main purpose would be, to keep people from hurting themselves.

I'll edit in a second with info on Lilith, we were just studying her a few weeks ago at church. Idk if what I have is particularity useful to the game, but why not?

Lilith stuffs: (this was a few weeks ago we learned about her, so some stuff is in gaps)

She was one of the first goddesses in recorded history, and was seen as a protector of sorts. She would protect children and childbirth, and IIRC, she was also a fertility goddess. Christianity came along and demonized her in order to help spread their message more easily, and she became the mother of all demons, and her spawn were called Lilim/Dijin. She was now seen as a child-snatcher, (I think this is where Changelings might have come from? Not sure if this was addressed at the sermon, but one of the members asked about it I remember) or a succubus.

I too was surprised by the name of the girl ...

But it is strange, it is assumed that such services are provided by phone, should not be usual the meeting face to face, let alone with someone who says he has called "to see what it's all about."
One might also think that is involved, as DNC, which leads to there, but presumably there are many workers in the service, which would be difficult to take the call exactly who interests him.

Regarding the theories of religious rites, may be well focused, but this confuses me. We start with clear references to the Zodiac, then came the tarot cards, classical music and the balance thing ... then came Scientology, Dante's Inferno, Alicia, religious / pagan rituals ... what happens? There is no a script defined? Or DNC acts influenced by the latest TV show / book he has seen or read?

Very late night just-before-falling-asleep random theory I'm sure i'm going to regret even thinking about/mentioning in the morning:

If Lilith is a primarily pagan name, and my wild idea that Lilith might be pagan- this is assuming she might be.

What if Lilith isn't someone 'hired' by DNC but the new DNC herself? Liek what Jono said, we're pretty sure this is an entirely new DNC here. With the full-face mask, and constant showing, it'd be not too much of a stretch to see her as male, (I passed pretty well myself in basically the same outfit.) and the full body shots to convince us as much as possible. Add onto that the constant use of pre-Christian images fits nicely with what she would possibly practice or have possibly studied as a pagan. (also since Elkapo mentioned that this DNC seems focused on religion instead of literature/pop culture like the old DNC was at the beginning)

...I'm sure this is pretty useless as far as forwarding the game (until Chris actually meets up with her, that is. Meeting DNC face-to-face again? Chris won't know but if it is true, then it could be a creepy thought. Also because Melissa was already a bit of a plant, so I'm hoping the real DNC won't use the same trick twice... Another reason I think Lilith might be the new DNC (DNC2?)) but idk. It's like 3AM here... Forgive me. XD

We've been picking apart the video in IRC and found a few things.

Jono found the nebula that is superimposed over the figure in the Tarot card. It is NGC-2818 and is called Pyxis but is also known as The Compass.

I think that DNC is in Las Vegas seeking Emily, or maybe he's already found her.

I'm attaching the log from IRC so you can see other theories because it's hard to organize everything that has been discussed.

Thanks! It would be difficult for me to follow the conversation in the chat.

I think the tarot card symbolizes the search for Emily in every detail (from one of the cups comes a female figure, the constellation of the compass, the seeker ...) and the song also appears.
Regarding the location, the golden building that we see constantly is the trump hotel. Part of the journey is shot from Interstate 15 and there is another part (which is oddly slowed, not accelerated) recorded from the Route 95 business.
At the end of the video can be seen in the rearview mirror DNC. (the linked image above)



P.S.: Curiously, the path is north-south, while to someone who comes from Los Angeles would make more sense in reverse, which means it is not their arrival, so we have time to search and investigate.

This video is still very very confusing, parts of the video are oddly slowed but there is nothing much to see in those frames.

Something that did strike me is that this is another video about movement and exploration.

Some of the Alice stuff is about movement to a new place (Wonderland) the door in the last video could represet movement or transformation and a video of driving is literally the act of moving to a new place.

Also I do really think that this is not DNCs video. The caption of "pretty, pretty" on Twitter just seems odd and there is only one female in this video and that is a sign for what I think is a lawyer (its hard to tell) and I doubt DNC is one to refer to the scenery.

Still stuck on the title "The games children play" this is the second time childhood things have been mentioned.

I do wonder if its "Hide and Seek" (chasing Emily) or "I Spy" (us in the video)
