The original tall man...

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed the similarities between the Slender Man and the antagonist from Don Coscarelli's "Phantasm" series, The Tall Man? They're both unusually tall guys who wear business suits and stalk people all over the place. Phantasm's "Tall Man" also has similar abilities to Slender Man, such as the ability to warp time and space at will. It seems whoever created Slender Man was heavily influenced by "Phantasm."

Old news. Yes, this was the inspiration. Victor Surge said so himself a long loooong time ago.
