The danger in that is that if they're not careful, they're gonna got the Shamalamadingsong route. It's my biggest fear with this series actually. I don't need or want an ending that comes out of nowhere, I just want it to be a satisying conclusion to a great journey. I think it says something what Shamalama's best film is The Sixth Sense, one that didn't have a twist that came out of nowhere and was cleverly plotted the whole way through.

Furthermore, how much do we know about Brian, Seth, Jessica and Amy? How long did they know Alex? Have they known him since childhood? And what of Sarah? Alex just describes her as being... "gone."

That was haunting.

I'm probably jumping the shark, but I need to post my thoughts. Skimasky is Jay, no doubt about it. It looks like him, and the blame is directed at Jay for letting it happen, where he just took the pills.

Tim having an exorcism was not what I was expecting. My first and only thought right now is that he got possessed by the Operator. That whole getting up scene was because the Operator wasn't familiar with a human body. He disappeared to Rosswood Park, according to TTA.

I'm not 100% on it because it came completely out of nowhere though.

No, Jay can't be hoody. The reason I believe this is because we get the entry where Jay drops his camera in the woods and then we get the entry where Hoody returns the camera and then in the next entry Alex finds Jay in the woods and Jay tells him he dropped his camera. Then he seems really surprised to see his camera. Hoody is not Jay.

A lot of people seem to forget that in Entry #58, we see Hoody in front of Jay and Tim clear as day. They chase him until they get to that tunnel. Direct proof that Hoody isn't Jay.

Also, it's bad reasoning to say Hoody looks like Jay, because OOG, they have different actors portraying Hoody.

Haha to be honest, I forgot about that too, but the returning the camera incident was just the first thing that popped into my head and I corrected it afterwards. And yeah, that's definitely bad reasoning for OOG reasons. I personally think it's Brian, for some OOG/"how one builds a plot" reasons but yeah.

I'm starting to think this Hoody character, if he is ToTheArk, may not be one of the former crew members of Marble Hornets, but some sort of watcher, or crazed stalker or something. Does anyone know if Alex has any siblings? Judging from enttry # 37, I would assume he does.

This would be a bit of a surprise. It would be very sloppy storytelling. For TTA to be a character we have not yet met in the series, he would have to be tied to Slenderman, not the cast of MH. If Jay, Tim or Alex knows TTA, it would have to be someone in the story already, I think it's way too late to introduce a new character. Maybe I'm wrong and chew me out if I am, but it would feel forced to me.

Well, you do have a point. It's one of those ideas that sounds great on paper, but is just too hard to pull off in a nice way.

Tim is definitely back in masky mode now that he missed his pills. Post seizure Tim has a limp, probably because masky personality doesn't remember that his leg healed.

Though I do agree with you on this, it does look as though he's moving as if in pain. Having had a broken ankle recently, I can speak for this.

What, only children don't have birthday parties?

It would be hilarious if TTA turned out to just be some Youtube stalker who had gone off the deep end.

Only children do have birthday parties, of course. But it would explain ToTheArk's knowledge of Alex. Also, if TTA is a random YouTube stalker, how did he obtain the footage in "enttry # 37?"

What...? It was Alex's birthday party... Hoody being Alex's sibling wouldn't explain his knowledge of Jay at all. And I don't think Jay has siblings, seeing as he keeps on saying that he has no one. It would be really silly to suddenly introduce a long-lost sibling at this point in the series.
EDIT: Derp, I could have sworn you said "Jay". But I still stand by what I said about introducing siblings so late.

I wasn't serious about the Youtube stalker thing, it just seemed to be what your post was implying.

TTA can get footage of anything because he is TTA. How did he hack both of Jay's accounts two or three times? How did he get Tim's confidential medical files? It seems like those would be harder to get than footage of a kid's birthday.

The thing about that (while I agree) is that, with forums like this that over-analyze EVERYTHING, no regular conclusion would likely satisfy the masses of people that take a swing at every single damned possibility. The whole "Jessica is Masky" shit was the line for me back then. How do you satisfy people with such insane theories? You give them something completely out there. Not that I'm hoping they'll do that, but I can see it as a possibility.

Alex's body is stuffed in the plaid comforter/pillow/thing!

So we have the most straightforward TTA video ever followed by the most Jay-style TTA hijacking ever. It's even Jay length (gigidy), which I'm thinking has gotta be about 5 times longer than the longest TTA.

As for Hoody's identity I'm still gonna have to go with Sabrieth. Not sure which one. I kept expecting himer to take of hiser mask everytime (s)he stabilized the camera.

That's pretty plausible, if you assume that Hoody has Slendy and Masky's warping abilities, which is possible.

But unlikely. I don't think that Hoody is a proxy.

Something just occurred to me, though. Remember Alex's girlfriend, Amy? She disappeared-- but she was also the one who brought the Operator back into Alex's life.

Perhaps she's in on this, somehow-- maybe she feigned her shock and terror in order to deceive Alex whilst bring our tall friend back into his life...

Sort of disappointed that this entry didn't reveal as much as I would have liked, but it works INCREDIBLY well as a suspense builder. Equally pleased and frustrated by it. Dunno

The only thing I can see this confirming is that the pills definitely subdue Tim's more unstable and violent personality Masky. But, one thing it HASN'T confirmed (which is the thing that irks me the most) is whether or not him becoming Masky once again is a good thing or a bad thing. Was Tim protecting himself and others by taking the pills or selfishly numbing himself? Is the violent and unpredictable nature of Masky evil in its essence or a necessary risk that must be taken to seek "TheArk"? Has Hoody unleashed a viciously violent psychotic to prove a point or an insane and unstable but, in some cosmic way helpful, ally to Jay? Too late at night over here to theorize THAT deeply quite yet.... heh.

[OOG] Tim Sutton = Disturbingly awesome. Just sayin'.

Part of me is thinking, "There goes Jay stealing Tim's meds again." I know Hoody can't be Jay because Jay and Tim chased Hoody in entry #58, and we can't go by body type because different actors stand in for Hoody based on availability, and despite the emphasis on shoes in the season 2 commentary, the shoes don't necessarily identify the character.

But it would be mighty clever for Jay to get his investigation un-stuck by impersonating TTA in tweet/video style, and Hoody on film, to needle any homicidal former friends watching into action.

Okay, realistically, that's probably too clever for Jay, but as whackjob theories go, I like it.

Had anyone tackled the numbers at the beginning of the entry yet? I know the end binary is trees or whatever but does the beginning mean anything?

Unless there's more than one Hoody, as we've speculated that there might be more than one Masky...
