OK, let's try this:

5 bucks to the first person who can tell me what time (respective to that city's time zone) the event is starting in each city, INCLUDING NYC!

tick-tock...

Ummm... Its not that hard? 18:00 – 21:00 PDT

Thats 18:00 (6pm) in San Franciso
Thats 20:00 (8pm) in Dallas and Chicago
Thats 21:00 (9pm) in NYC

She also says "Arrive at the mission coordinates between 16:45 – 17:45 Pacific time"

16:45 is 4:45PM in San Franciso, 6:45PM in Dallas/Chicago, and 7:45PM in NYC.

Thanks to all who played! I will PM you with the loot (U2 Kali) Wink

Of course it's not hard--I had 9pm for NYC too (see earlier posts on this thread) but was getting anxious when I asked for a quick confirmation and noone responded.... Bang Head

Nevermind.. it's out of my system now...

That's perfect though.. Don't have to leave work early or anything and will still get there ahead of time... Cool

Actually, I think you are all wrong. Smile Melissa says "Pacific time" but does not specify Pacific Daylight or Pacific Standard Time. Daylight saving ends at 2am on October 31st (http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/b.html). So the correct times would be:

Thats 18:00 PST(6pm) in San Franciso
Thats 20:00 CST(8pm) in Dallas and Chicago
Thats 21:00 EST(9pm) in NYC

Jus keeping everyone on their toes. Very Happy

So, need you have participated in an axon activation in order to reap the mysterious reward scheduled for the 4th? I went with some peeps to a SF axon in the first (or second?) batch that eventually got cancelled--nobody could find it. Embarassed

Hey all. Looking forward to meeting all these fun, amazingly intelligent sounding people at the Chicago event.

One possibility that I'm suprised hasn't been mentioned yet (I think). I've been thinking that maybe, in addition to Halo 2 multiplayer, there could be in game stuff - puzzles or something - that we take away from the event that the community as a whole has to solve, thus involving the rest of the community who can't attend. Anyways, we should make sure to keep our eyes open.

Nah, go for it. I think the priority admit is just for beekeepers in general. Remember, answering the question each week at an axon is how you prove yourself to be part of the crew and therefore be trusted. In this situation, I think "crew" in this instance refers to Beekeepers in general, not necessarily named individuals.

And how would they know that you never answered an axon?

I could be wrong, of course, but there's no harm in trying to register. I really think they'll eventually send us confirmation so people don't waste their time traveling.

Wink wink, nudge nudge.

Wow. To those of you headin' out there, have fun. Lots of fun. I'll jump on the beggar bandwagon and ask if there's anyone here who's nice and trustworthy enough for me to PM 'em my address and have them pick up stuff for me if any stuff's there to pick up. If not, just as cool -- we'll all get to see at least some of the action, I'm sure.

PM me if you're a nice, generous person. I'll send you cookies! Very Happy

More evidence for general admission...

Wasn't one of the phrases from the triangle code "we love bees"?

And that was gleaned from the official Halo 2 or Bungie site, wasn't it?

If so, I think it was a clear hint to all fans to visit ILB, presumably to give them the chance to participate in the events. I heard that a lot of Halo people gave up after the first 2 - 3 weeks of axons provided nothing that was clearly linked to Halo.

Doing it this way, though, keeps the numbers down to reasonable sizes, and rewards those who, even though they haven't been playing with us, still made the effort to find the connection.

yeah, a lot of stuff that i've read from other people (a few from the roosterteeth forums), there have been a lot of people who gave up on this when they couldn't find anything halo related...

as much as i'd like to see people being able to be pulled from this, i would also really like to see a "beekeepers only" type deal, since we're the one's who need more squad-based drills (you know, since we don't have enough already) (:
