 		Bringing back Slenderman after a long period of absence is good when you have him do something big & threatening, like wiping Jay's memory or just up & wasting a guy. If that is the last I will see of The Operator for 20 entries, that's a little disappointing.

Anyways, on a more SRS note...

I tend to agree with Lithp here. While I don't want it to be "monster, monster everywhere", I think having the Operator in the background more often would be nice. He doesn't necessarily have to do much. He can just stand there. Menacingly! Just a sign that he is an ever-present threat, since he's kind of the eldritch abomination here and all.

 		TTA seems to be quite good at avoiding direct confrontations with the Operator. At least I got that impression, it's hardly possible to prove it.

But that's probably also the reason why he knows more than other people (less brainwashing). So if we assume Hoody is TTA (or at least part of TTA) which is pretty likely by now, having a lot of Hoody means having not much TO.
(Unless we see two different locations or two different time frames in the same entry.)

I bet deep in the woods we will have more TO but less Hoody.

 		Wow, this died down substantially.

Hello, I'm new Very Happy I just discovered the Slender man on last Thursday, and discovered Marble Hornets last Friday. I just caught up over the weekend

And I just finished reading all 60 pages of this thread.
I have to say these videos are the scariest things I have ever seen. Though I appreciate everyone in this thread making TO a LOT LESS SCARY. Now all I imagine is The Raverator back from the OMG gif (I cried from laughter)

Anyway, it has been fun so far

ALSO, I feel there is more to the original entry. I liked how someone possibly figured out Tim's name, but there was a lot more potential patterns there...IDK maybe the point was to sort through the fluff.

Welcome new Unfictioner. I promise you will be insane by the end of another week, and that's just because of us.

The paranoia eventually dies down. Kind of...

I'm just grateful I didn't find Marble Hornets when I had the whooping cough. Pretty sure I would have freaked out. XD

Anyways, if we don't get a new entry or tweet soon, we'll get one in the allotted two weeks. If we still don't get one then you are to go the RAEG thread and rage about it. Preferably using copious amounts of swearing and capslock. XD

haha I live in one of the close by suburbs of boston. and I would probably pee if I saw an operator symbol anywhere...

Like little Alex/Tim saw TO and brushed it off as a strange man in a suit, but TO was like: "Not gonna have it, NO TRACE!" and so he stalked them, trying to kill them/ wipe their memories so no one remembers. Because he, for somereason, doesn't want to be known.[/Spec]

Okay, not this is going to get long because a lot of things just clicked in my head:

[Spec]So the kids see TO, he gets annoyed, and wipes their memories. Causing mental instability but TO don't care, he does what he wants. So the kids grow up just fine, but a little messed up.

Then ALEX just HAS to video record TO, and TO doesn't know what to make of this, so he bides his time and wipes the crew's minds a few times until he is satisfied that they all forgot about him and he goes back to sleep. Alex somehow got away before his mind was wiped.

This is apparent in the fact that Jay didn't remember TO, but TO didn't chase him anymore either.

Now, as far as Alex knows, everyone is safe. They have forgotten. Slendy TO is asleep, and he is repressing the memories while he hangs out with his GF. Then his GF brings the camera out. And(get this) the CAMERA isn't what brought TO back, it was Alex REMEMBERING TO. TO has to remove all evidence of his existence because he doesn't want to be known. (This could also relate to the fact that he has no face) So whenever someone thinks of him, it is easier to find them. (You may notice that Jay doesn't think/talk about TO too much, mostly just TTA and Masky.

So in a nutshell:

The Operator just wants to be forgotten
All these kids keep searching for him and FILMING HIM (making mind wipes useless)
So he keeps hunting them (not to kill them (though it may come to that if necessary) but to wipe their memories)
But they keep remembering him because of this Youtube Series.
Maybe even, Jay forgets about the Operator everytime he runs into him (physically) Which is why he doesn't talk about him until he meets him again (Like the Silence from Doctor Who)
Slendersickness is the physical result of having their minds wiped constantly

Finally, by watching this series, we all know about TO and the more we think about him the more likely it is that one night, that shadow you think is The Operator, actually will be the Operator.

Also, the Ark destroys TO or your Memory of TO...IDK

Also, this could all be solved if TO just knew how to hack a youtube channel [/Spec]

Okay all done, doubt anyone read that, but it was fun. If someone wants to expand a Spec based on my gibberish, I'd love to hear it.

All this kind of makes me think that in one of the first entrys, when Alex is driving and tells us how he saw a 'tall man' 'just standing there', if the Operator was wandering aimlessly and then found (or re-discovered) Alex. Then Jay just HAD TO GET INVOLVED!!!

There is a lot of evidence to suggest that Hoody is at least part of, if not solely, TTA - there's the obvious "did you see me i saw you" around Entry 40-42, when Hoody was sitting under the tree. There's also the "see you soon" in Session, followed by Hoody's appearance in Entry 58. This is of course in addition to the recent events with Tim and the files underneath the abandoned hospital and "entry" and what not.

But as for Hoody's identity, it's just as likely Seth as it is Brian. I'm curious why you think that Seth is more suitable though (genuinely curious, not bashing or anything).




Mainly because Seth was the main cameraman and editor. There is enough evidence to prove that much. If he was the one going through the footage to put it in the film, he would have noticed the operator before alex, and started his own investigation. this explains why he has extra footage such as the b-roll from entry 7. The editing that totheark knows how to do is incredibly sophisticated and only someone who has worked with editing film would be able to do it (stop motion, editing in distortion, editing layers of video). Exit can be explained with the same reasoning, if seth saw the footage and saw the operator, he'd be doing his own investigation and would notice alex's behavior, then would start watching him off the set (and anyone he is with, in exit's case jay)

Brian really has no reason to know how to edit video or have b-roll footage. Sure hoody's frame looks more like brian than anyone else and his shoes are black like brians, but brian to me just makes less sense than seth, same with sarah. the story is set up in a way that would fit seth right in.



But like I said before, I'm confident they will end up going with brian




And as far as this gap goes, I was simply saying that i don't understand why they write the story in a way that leaves room for a 1-2 day gap at most, then end up not putting out an entry for 14 days, and claim that the other 12 days is jay getting "taken" or being put in a trance. while they haven't outright said that that was what happened, it's more than likely since jay hasn't updated his twitter and he can't still be in rosswood, added onto the fact that they said you don't need the twitter to understand the story. if you're going to take two weeks, then have jay conclude the previous entry saying "ill keep you guys updated on what goes on" or something.

And they always blame it on scheduling conflicts, but they all live in the same house. How many naps has joseph taken this week? lol

I think he would have been fine if TTA and Masky left him alone. The weird stuff didn't start happening until then, because he ran into real Slendy

I like this neato interpretation. But it sounds like in Entry #26, Alex just 'lost the game.'
Contrary to the usual way, TO works in a "out of mind = out of sight" direction.
Whether or not it's right, it's fun to think of the story in this way! So thank you!
