Once you've started the blog ask a mod to post a trailhead for you. Come on the MyImmersion Tinychat and spam other fans and creators. Get into the creators Facebook group. etc...

either A) be good at your job or B) know the right people.
most series' get away with at least one of those.

Oh yeah. Also don't be afraid to do some viral marketing. Recently I sent my blog to a slenderblog reviewing tumblr (and there are a lot). Now I recieve about 50 daily clicks.

Or you could do what I did with Dark Dream Chronicle and drop OOG hints to your friends/everyone you know and challenge them to find it. XD

Or what I'm doing right now with my third story in my signature. Say it exists and leave it at that. Though the third story has been found, it just doesn't have a thread (will soon though, my friend is just busy right now).

That discovery aspect keeps people interested, I've found.

Well, in the end, there's no real sure-fire way to make your blog the next DiD or JaF. It comes down to the right mixture of style, hard work, interesting story, talent, and plain ol' dumb luck.

For example, my blog (which I won't link to because I'm not sure if I'm allowed to) has gotten a little exposure here, but its kinda fizzled out. I'm still going to carry the story to its conclusion (it'll be good practice for my books), but it's going to be harder knowing that not many people are seeing it. Crying or Very sad

Hope your blog does better then mine though.
