The other day I was walking through a hospital near where I live and the only people around was the odd doctor or porter. Iv'e walked through that hospital tons of times and been fine, but this time was different because this time I had seen Marble Hornets.
I'm not exaggerating when I say every single picture on the walls were of people who were really tall and had no faces. They were dancing, playing instruments, in pretty colours but all I could see was slenderman/operator and I almost freaked out. XD

I visited a Doctor Who exhibition and they had one of the Silence, who I believe are based on Slendy, standing at the end of a long hallway with the lights flickering. EXACTLY how the Operator tends to appear. Scared the bejeesus out of me.

I also get a little frisson of fear whenever I, or someone around me, starts coughing lightly for no reason.

And of course, I NEVER look out of the windows.

Ah yes... The Silence. They are *supposedly* based off Edvard Munch's The Scream, but I say they look like slenderbeings. Freaked me the hell out when I first saw one on Doctor Who.
...Which reminds me, I painted a version of The Scream for art class, and I added Slendy in it.

The Silence are based off of the figure in The Scream. Incidentally, that was also a partial inspiration for the Slender Man (along with the Tall Man and other things that Victor Surge found frightening to him).

Of course I've had the usual freaky Slenderman dreams and the creeping paranoia that I feel when I'm alone in the dark, but there is one particular mishap that I find hilarious.

I was in some clothing store (don't remember which anymore) shopping with my mother. This particular store had two floors, and on the second floor was a display area type thing that people could see from the first floor. Out of the corner of my eye, I happened to see a very tall, pale, faceless figure wearing a suit and standing on the edge of the aforementioned display area. I basically flipped shit, yelling incoherently and falling backwards into a cloths rack. On closer inspection, I realized that this was merely a manikin wearing a suit.

My mother, who has never even heard of Slenderman, was worried that I had a seizure or something.

I had a similar story.

Before I went to Camp, my brother and I went to the mall to get clothes for us to basically get all dirty there, and I noticed a mannequin with no face...... In a Hawaiian shirt and Sunglasses. I think it was wearing a sombrero too.

I had to resists being weird, and taking a photo of it.

So my roommate always leave her closet open (huge ass double door closet), and there's always this blueish soft light in it that allows you to make out shapes in it. Everytime I leave my room I can get a glimpse of it.

Anyway, couple days ago she put some new stuff in there, one of which is a black cover for a very long dress. I just about shat my pants when I walked past and noticed this 7 foot+ dark silhouette in there. The height and everything just looks like The Operator so much, that even now knowing what it is I still get scared a bit.

Also the damn silhouette can be seen from my bed if I look there on purpose.

Just today I was lurking around, researching Slendy more and more, thinking I was over the fear. I was wrong.

I was extremely paranoid of even moving around the house, expecting to see something around ever corner. It got to be the worst when I tried to open a door, and for some reason, it wouldn't open normally. I nearly had a heart attack jostling the doorknob and looking over my shoulder in terror.

Yeah, I really wanted to take a picture of the suited manikin too... but I didn't want to look like even more of a weirdo.

What about these?

(the Terrible Trivium from The Phantom Tollbooth)

(The Gentlemen from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When I saw them and their straitjacketed minions, the guys in the background, all I could think is "Aww, it's Slenderman and Masky! <3")

Finally had my first dream in which Marble Hornets (very briefly) appeared...

Namely, I got a text (which happened in real life whilst I was in bed, probably a dream stimulus) from Twitter that in my dream was mentioning a MH tweet, but the tweet was from a hidden MH account telling me, in character as totheark, that totheark wanted me to go somewhere and meet with them.

I complied, thinking in the dream that it was an OOG attempt by trosephim to reach out to their fanbase (but not knowing why they'd contact me, one of the least visible and proactive MHers around)... and then the dream inexplicably transitioned into StarCraft 2 as totheark compelled me to invade one of my own bases with its brood of Zerglings. Which I did, anything for totheark!

Apparently the true identity of totheark is... Sarah Kerrigan. You heard it here first.
