If you make an extended version of the game, please put in some sort of direct point towards the big three at the very least xD you could even do it in the form of in-game files or something...Im just fed up of pretentious 13 year olds claiming the vlogs are ripping off Slender, as some people at my school have turned to doing.

Seriously, though; I think maybe making "slender" the subtitle and finding a compatible name for future works is a decent idea.

YALORT have mercy on their souls.

But, yes, if you want to correct them, just show them when the vlogs came out and when Slender came out. And if there is a forum on which people are spreading these misconceptions, please point me towards it. I really don't like it when people are completely, absolutely wrong about something. Especially if they just discovered it.

for the title, I've been turning the name "Slender: A Static Nightmare" over in my head, and I like the sound of it. I do also like the idea of using slender as the subtitle, and opening up the possibility of a series of sorts.

Honestly, people thinking the vlogs are ripping off Slender is neither surprising, nor a big deal. You think that is the stupidest thing that people believe? Have you ever spoken to the FFVII fandom? Some of them didn't realize that there were 6 games before it.

Putting some kind of explanation about where Slenderman comes from is a good idea, but kind of tacky.

I actually rather like "A Static Nightmare."

I can credit them, but how? 'Inspired by', or 'Special thanks'? And where? Where would be sufficient to show people and that would actually notice it?

Also, would you have been upset if the situation were identical with Masky not being identified, except that his answer was "I'm Slenderman, from TribeTwelve?" i.e., still didn't recognize Marble Hornets, but was based on a different version?
