i know they have said that you don't need to watch each other series to understand what's going on for this crossover. Which I find hard to believe since the cult that Noah is asking questions to, is one of the main antagonist of DH. Since Mary was part of said cult, even though (based on what Noah said on the entry) they didn't said anything of importance to Noah about the answer he was looking for. Only that (Me speculating) he should know what Slendy is, other words that he was chosen by it for something. Firebrand been Noah speculation, yippe.

Plus, I did like the screaming transition. We have to wait and see what happens on TT end though.

uuurgh, the Tribetwelve crossover has actually got me intrigued and I'm gonna finally bite the bullet and jump into Dark Harvest. Just wondering if there's a timeline/playlist anywhere which brings together the youtube channels, twitter, blog posts etc. Hate the feeling of watching something and then realising that I've missed bit of the story because it was squirrelled away somewhere else!

There are playlists for each season on their Youtube channel's page -- these include the KindvonDerRitter videos. As to the book and other out-of-video materials, I don't know if anyone has compiled a list or resource for them.

Yeah, quite honestly the screaming + body was a really good visual effect, but it just seems to me like it wasn't for any real purpose than another way of signaling 'hey, gtfo time'.

IIRC Noah has said that you don't have to watch the DH entry to understand TT, which makes sense, I'm not sure if the reverse has ever been explicitly stated though.

smashing thanks. I'll try the playlists out and see if I can fit the rest in as I go along!

Long time lurker here. After a long break, I decided to check out the Slender verse again. Thankfully, time moves slowly enough in that verse that my backlog wasn't too intense. Wink

I've been following DH with some interest; I like that these guys have built a fairly solid storyline, though I was apprehensive when it came to the idea of a DH/TT crossover. A couple of people have pointed out how different SM's supposed origins are, but I don't think that's worth worrying about. It's not whether a crossover fractures the mythos; it's whether a crossover can blend actors, narratives, and consequences.

So here's my Good/Bad/WAT list for this video:

Good:
* Plenty of action and progression in a 17-minute clip. The EMH clip was mostly reviewing documents.
* The group not trusting each other. I dig that they've got a realistic dynamic. Sure, they've got a common antagonist, but their reluctance to meet now that they've been burned by so many of their contacts is reasonable. And leads to tension and confrontation.
* Alex, Chris, and Noah all losing their shit. Okay, that was funny.

Bad:
* The chemistry amongst the actors made it a little tough to get through. And maybe they are supposed to feel a little awkward, but it seemed like their dialogue was a bit more forced than normal.
* The plan was to bring Noah to the meeting place with their headlights on and expect that no one would be suspicious? That's short-sighted, dammit.
* Noah dropped the names of the two people who were helping him? To cultists? I can't believe Noah would do that, even as someone who makes poor decision-making an art form. We'll have to wait for his video to see how that happened. (At least Noah sounded like he KNEW he fucked up when he admitted it to Chris and Alex. Wink )

WAT:
* The cultist falling onto the car. Are we sure it was a body, and not a living cultist? I thought the cultist got up off the car, rather than sliding off, so I thought he was alive. Also, wouldn't a body falling on the car like that shatter the windshield or massively dent the hood? Yikes.
* Noah filming Alex and Chris as they're leaving him behind. I think this is one of the few conventions of the vlogs that hits me oddly. When people react naturally, emotionally, they don't hold a camera stoically. Noah's probably the most physical of all the vlog characters. To see him standing around while a car leaves him behind is weird.
* Oh, and they were gone for three days? I know that the DH guys have experienced time slips before, but with Noah in the mix I have to wonder whether Slenderman's supporting cast got involved there. Probably not, as the Observer influencing the DH guys would really fuck with their storyline.

By the way... I know this is unrealistic and wouldn't have fit into the budgets or schedules of the actors, but I really wish their car had been transported to Florida. THAT would have been funny. As they're leaving the parking lot, Chris focuses the camera on the parked cars- all with Florida license plates. Wink

As far as the falling cultist...Well, based on the sound, it seemed like they fell on the roof and then slid down the windshield, rather than simply the latter. And the cultist, to me at least, seems like they rolled off the side/front of the car, though it is rather hard to tell with the shaky camera/arm blocking the view...We'll probably have a much better view of it from Noah's perspective...Provided he includes all of what he recorded in his update, rather than just what we haven't seen yet.

Yeah, it could be that. My take was that it looked like the cultist/body rolled off in a way that looked like it was done by a conscious person. Which made me think that, rather than Slenderman picking some cultist up and dropping him out of the sky, it was a cultist being crazy and jumping out of a tree onto the car. Either way, that's fucked up. Smile

Unfortunately, it sounds like we won't see anything from Noah's POV. Did I read elsewhere that TT will not be posting any of the footage from this trip?

From Noah's twitter:

"For those wondering, I have the entire cultist meeting and subsequent clusterfuck recorded but I need to talk to Sam before I upload it. "

Based on that, he'll upload the whole thing ("subsequent clusterfuck" could mean whatever happened in the woods that caused him to get the hell out or could refer to the events in the car as well) at some point shortly. I seem to recall seeing that he'll post it sometime in the next week or so.

So why didn't Alex or Chris mention anything about the names on the manifest, like Amsel or McComber? I thought they would see that right away.

Didn't they say they already saw it before Noah met up with them?

Oh! That's good news. I'd be surprised if TT passed up the opportunity to get video of crazy shit happening to Noah.

(Why does he need to talk to Sam? For permission? For further information to put his experience in context?)
